I asked this same question a few months ago but it seems like nobody knows.

He is from my area here in Michigan, officiated a few of his games, so just wondering why I never hear his name?

I literally never hear anything about him (except what happened last year 😕).

So, has anyone heard his name this spring? Is he staying at WR or switching to TE. Any info about him and his role on the team would be appreciated. Thanks.

Pure speculation on my part but I think he got caught up in the transition from big, strong blocking WRs with ordinary speed, possession receiver types, to the quicker, faster guys we're seeing now. Maybe he's had injury problems too, I don't know. Hope he sticks it out.

He has been mentioned by the coaching staff as being loved to the flex TE position, and he played some snaps there in the spring game.

At 6’1 216lbs, he’s gonna have to bulk up some to be a contributor there

Watching him in spring with the TE...I just don't see this working out. Cummings was a big WR before moving to TE....Sanders is not close to as big as Cummings. And we already have so many TE....I just don't see this panning out to play

I wonder the same thing, but maybe it can work if he can bulk up to 230-235 range??

I agree that it’s hard to imagine it working if cannot bulk up at least 20 pounds or so…and even that may be a stretch.

He’s listed at 6”1 230 on the new roster. That’s a pretty big dude at 6”1 that’s comparable to Upshaw who is 6”6 246
