Dylan Ennis to Oregon

I think Oregon only had one scholarship open. To me it looks more like Murray will stay in class than being a good sign. Now if we get him to visit this week I'll take it as a sign.

Oregon, that is a good place for Ennis. He averaged less than 10 points a game in an offense where you get to shoot any time you want. To me that doesn't say a lot for him.

His father has said numerous times that they'll likely wait until "the end" (of the school year) until they make a choice on reclassification.

I don't understand why some people have created this KSR-based timeline.

I'm saying I don't think Oregon takes Ennis until knowing he's for sure not classifying. He has plenty of time to classify but Oregon only has one scholarship and they intended it to be on him.

It does...but we are going after this Vick guy as well, and what do you do? Wait on Murray for weeks? Vick won't wait around forever. What if we get passed up by Vick and then Murray spurns UK? Who knows. Something good has to happen at some point.

If he went, probably means Murray isn't reclassifying..

Oregon recruiting guy says they are still the favorite and believes he will stay in 2016 class and end up at Oregon

he ain't staying 2016 , he already said he is not playing AAU this summer and the only reason to not do that is to get ready for college in August. He might not go to UK ( though i think he does ) but he will be somewhere come August in college.

I don't know anything about Murray or the ksr timeline or anything else about his recruitment (other than the few tidbits I've read here) but I think it's crazy to think a decision would be made AFTER the school year. If you can decide at that time then that tells me he better be qualified to reclassify by then. I'd assume to graduate early you would likely have school credits to earn and other things to do in order to properly graduate a year early. I can't imagine the decision would be made on the fly AFTER his junior year. If it were my son, we'd know well before the end of the school year, I know that much. So I think conventional wisdom would lead people to believe he would know by now.

How many rumored "reclassifies" have NOT jumped? Use some common sense. If you're ready and already 18, why wait an extra year, especially with your stock smoldering. Murray will reclassify. I'll take any bet.

The co-founder/owner of CIA Bounce(Tony McIntyre), the AAU team Murray plays on, also happens to be the stepfather of Dylan Ennis. I highly doubt this hurts Oregon in any way(maybe it even helps them). Plus, how does Ennis hurt Oregon but the presence of Ulis/Briscoe(2 PG's) doesn't hurt us with a kid that fancies himself a Pg?

Oregon is now out of scholarships. Could probably still figure out a way to make it work

Not being a Debbie downer.. Ha.. Just thinking that there might be a chance that Oregon got the word that Jamal wasn't going to reclassify and let Ennis inn.. Is that not an option in this situation? I know UK is the ( no brainer ) between the schools but the way this class has gone it wouldn't surprise me:cool:

I could see it either way

would be odd timing if he decided against reclassifying, with his dad giving the interview yesterday about taking visits. Also I just don't think it makes any sense to stay in '16 in the first place.

I don't see why he would be taking visits now if he won't decide on a school until next year.Seems to me he will reclassify but I have no clue where he ends up.

If he comes for a visit soon I really like our chances and think he would be very impressed.

I think there is about a 95% chance he reclassifies. As wcc31 said, it makes zero sense not to reclassify and add a full year onto his professional, money-making career. The other 5% would be if his classwork prevents him or something along those lines.

I think you gotta wait on Murray. While Vick is talented, he isnt on Murray's level. If you ask me, Murray is the type of player we need with his offensive potential. If I'm Cal, which obviously I'm not, I would wait for Murray. There is also Allen who will be getting his release soon and who I believe is a better prospect than Vick at the moment. JMO though.

Well, he is from Canada and still goes to school there. That may have something to do with the late decision being that the school time tables may be different up there. They could possibly finish at a different time of the year or something of that nature but I honestly do not know. I'm simply throwing out suggestions.
Other than that idea, it could simply be that he will just need to take a couple summer courses to make the jump to 2015. He may just need a couple primary subjects to graduate and he can take those over the summer to get ready. That may also be a possibility with him.
When talking about his decision, a lot of people fail to mention that he is already 18 yrs old. Most players reclassify to that they can get to the league quicker and have that extra year in their careers to make money. They want to get to that next contract a year earlier. That and the fact that he is not playing AAU this summer are the biggest reasons why I tend to think he will reclassify. Either he reclassifies this year or I doubt very seriously that he even goes to college and just enters the draft next year without stepping foot on a campus. Those are the 2 options that I see as most logical for him. I bet Cal is throwing the kitchen sink at this kid trying to get him to come this year. I trust in Cal!!

I agree. Granted, I haven't even watched a Youtube on Vick, but seems to me we already have two guys better on the wing in Mulder/Matthews and a class full of bigtimers at the wing in '16. Murray or bust, IMO.
