Hi all. Apologies for not dropping by sooner. I really miss all the happenings here and posting recruiting info. Unfortunately life takes us in different directions sometimes, I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and happy new years to all!
For those that have asked, here's a brief update on my health. I went in for surgery several weeks back to remove a cancerous tumor from the upper lobe of my left lung. When the surgical team entered the lung they found that the cancer had already spread to the lower lobe. Biopsy later confirmed it had spread to the lymph nodes as well. Because of the extent it had spread, the surgery was halted and a new treatment plan was formulated, I'm now sitting here with an incurable and very aggressive form of Stage 4 Squamous Cell Carcinoma. The new treatment plan is a dual mix chemotherapy for 15 weeks starting Jan 7th. The hope is that this leads to remission. If this doesn't work, then more desperate measures will be explored. Luckily new immunotherapy treatments are becoming available. IDK...it's just a wait and see game right now.
