Don't think we learned a lot about Louisville or UK yesterday

As is our habit, we sleep walked past an outmanned opponent, but got the W, which is the most important stat. Keeping feeding BS Jr. and Rose and Conrad, run the clock, and try to grind out some Ws, that is the path to success for Kentucky right now.

As for Louisville, I thought Pass looked decent for his first start, but otherwise, Alabama is just on another planet. I believe this will not be one of Petrino's better teams, but the Cardinals were overwhelmed at every position talent wise, and in every phase of the game. We will know more about UL in a month or so.

We were talking at our post game party last night . . . realistically how many teams in college football even have a chance at beating Bama, and I don't mean will beat them, but even stand a chance?

My guess is Georgia, Ohio State, Clemson, and maybe Oklahoma . . . and that's about it. Auburn has to play in Tuscaloosa, and Miss State just doesn't have the team to do it. Alabama is just really on another level than any other team out there.

We learned that Bobby Neckbrace may be auditioning for his next job as a comedian when he commented at halftime that University Six had "moved the ball up and down the field" on Bama in the 1st half. University Six had 111 total yards at that point in the game.

We learned that if Poo Ma Pass had went to Bama, he could have taken Mac Jones spot as the human victory cigar.

Yesterday confirmed what we already knew. We aren’t the worst team in FBS and U6 is sure as hell not the best. We have bought one more win but their conference schedule is softer towards the middle and bottom. Very good chance we both enter our last game against each other playing for a 7th or 8th win.

I don’t think we were sleepwalking yesterday. Kentucky dominated the game, but turned it over four times. A ton of QB mistakes in the first half, and a limited role for the QBs in the second half. It’s all about that one position, at least as far as we can tell from yesterday.

What I learned about UL is their coach, players and delusional meth smoking fans continue to write checks with their mouths that their asses can’t cash. A mediocre program and always will be. What I learned about UK is the team has a lot to work on but better to work on it as 1-0 than 0-1.

UK won despite an ALARMING amount of turnovers...two of which UK recovered. If Hoak hadn't done a wow lookit this drive with a minute to go to give the Cats the lead, CMS may have found a mighty hot seat this morning.
As for Louisville, it couldn't have happened to a better coach. Giving devil's dues though....Pass is what we'd hoped Wilson would be. Kid is a warrior. Wears the wrong uniform, but still a mighty good looking QB.
Their O-line looks quite a bit better.
I will say that there is likely to be ANOTHER DC search at Louisville this year.

we learned that despite the fact that UL fans were saying their wide receivers were better than Bama's that is not the truth
as a matter of fact not one UL receiver would start for Bama

we also learned that it is true
it was just Lamar and a bunch of guys

Both can be true. Nerves, sleepwalking, looking past a small named opponent to a big game that the coaching staff admitted that they were preparing for 2 weeks ago. UK dominated that game in the second half because UK is a vastly more talented team. It’s extremely rare that UK will turn it over 4 times in a half. Truthfully, I would wager that it doesn’t happen again.

Plenty of very good quarterbacks have awful 1st games in college. It happens all the time.

Go ahead and hire someone to start studying every UL game focusing on how their receivers get so wide open so many times, especially down the middle and start teaching our guys how to defend the slants down the middle. Their passing offense is the same every year.

Huh? I don’t give a rats ass about Louisville. Why would you bring them up?

I think we DID learn something about Louisville last night.

They suck.

And I realize how good Alabama is. They're going to beat the LSUs and Miss. Sts and Auburns but they're not going to light them up like they did Louisville because Louisville isn't close to as good as these teams. If Alabama had needed to win by 70 points to get the win, they would have been able to do so.
