Don't sleep on Wenyen.

Absolutely. I think Baker could be that guy. Very effective scorer.

Diallo being freakishly athletic is great. He will do so much for us defensively. The kid is going to block shots, rebound, and get into passing lanes. But you are correct in that we will need him to make perimeter shots otherwise he will find himself running into a thick wall every time he tries to drive it.

I don't think Baker will get any of Diallo's minutes thought

Even if Diallo does not improve his jumper, I think we have plenty of weapons to offset that.

Green has a good jumper. 38% from 3 last year, I believe.

Gabriel can shoot the 3. 31% from 3 last year. He should improve some. I look for him to shoot around 35% from 3.

Knox can shoot the 3. I look for him to shoot mid to high 30's from 3.

Washington is a good shooter. Gilgeous-Alexander has good form. Then there is Baker, as you mentioned.

Should be able to surround Diallo with good shooters to keep the lane from getting clogged up.

Put him at the 2, with Green at the 1, Knox at the 3, Gabriel at the 4, and that's three good shooters around him.

That should get the job done.

The way that Diallo played at the FIBA games, I think he may have a hard time beating out several of our other players. I don't see him starting over Knox or P.J. I know Cal tried him at P.G. but don't see him being the P.G. over Green. Can he beat Gabriel out? We also have SKJ and Richards likely to be the centers perhaps even Wynyard. Diallo's shooting did not exactly make him a 2 guard either. Will be interesting to see how this all works out.

Lots of options. Rebound the ball and go, and go fast. This team will excel in Transition. Look for freshman Baker to come on in time for conference games!
