You know that I have reported that early on Donovan seemed like almost a non-starter because of the timetable. Can UK afford to wait THAT long when it could disastrous for next year's team.
Of course, as time goes on and other candidate(s) fall by the wayside, there is always the possibility that Barnhart's thinking changes/evolves on that. I have personally felt like Donovan would be an excellent choice but the first year could be dicey.
Today for the first time I had someone tell me that a source is telling them there's a very real possibility of Donovan ultimately being the guy. Take it for what it's worth, I don't have a strong opinion on that because it seems like if Mitch is meeting and bringing people in then there's an active process in place that could still continue in the interim while Donovan's season is finishing up. Maybe take it as a sign that internally, this is something that does indeed become more likely with Drew off the board.
Still interested in the Hurley and Oats possibilities.
