Already knew those parts.. So its nothing new then.. My question.. Is UK football getting more money than basketball? Like the 70% or so I've seen mentioned? Should be 50/50 with those 2 then whatever is left goes wherever..

Yea I don't like football getting like 15 mil and bball getting 4.. Mitch needs to make it like 10 to football and 8 for bball..![]()
NCAA's House settlement approved, ushering in new era where schools can directly pay athletes
After hanging in limbo for nearly two months, the House settlement is finally approved, which means $2.8 billion in NIL backpay will be distributed to former NCAA athletes.sports.yahoo.com

What I'm a saying..Most SEC schools will probably do an 80/20 split. Probably like 16 million for football and 4 million for basketball.
UK should do a 50/50 split, about 10 million a piece.
We need to start dominating basketball again.
Great.
Not a math guy but I think whatever’s left after a 50/50 split is 0Already knew those parts.. So its nothing new then.. My question.. Is UK football getting more money than basketball? Like the 70% or so I've seen mentioned? Should be 50/50 with those 2 then whatever is left goes wherever..
Will this lead to players sitting out until they get cleared or will teams just create hundreds of $599 deals for each player, so they don’t have to submit it?
Won’t happen at all. You can’t throw football under the bus as they still bring in a large portion of the money. We should definitely be a bit higher on the basketball percentage compared to other SEC schools. Most SEC schools will probably do an 80/20 split. Rarely do I get what I want, but I would want a 50/50 split.Won’t happen at all. You can’t throw football under the bus as they still bring in a large portion of the money. We should definitely be a bit higher on the basketball percentage compared to other SEC schools.
That’s good, you can have to recruit again and pay them with revenue so large schools will benefit while third party deals will result in actual NIL now not just 4 million to come play.
Maybe so but they will probably lose now, this precedent will make it very hard for any athlete to win a case now IMHO. I am sure they will sue under anti trust laws but that will be another 8 year battle in court. Eventually they will enter collective bargaining agreements with employees. It’s the only way forward to prevent future litigation at all. The women better be careful suing under title IX grounds because I could see schools just getting rid of all female sports as they cost money and don’t generate any revenue in the first place. This is going to get sued into oblivion
Until a football coaching change I would say 90 to basketball and 10 to football for uniforms and traveling expense .they revenue share in the sec so when we go 3 and 9 or 2 and 10 football still collects a huge payout . Stoops has got to goAlready knew those parts.. So its nothing new then.. My question.. Is UK football getting more money than basketball? Like the 70% or so I've seen mentioned? Regarding roster limits, are they still working out those details? Will teams like baseball just list 40 (or whatever the max # is) on the roster and have others that practice but not officially part of the team? Or will the rule be such that no more than the roster limit can practice etc? Wonder if this will lead to more JV teams?
50/50 of like 18k,, everyone else gets like 2 mil.. Although I'd be great with 17 for mens bball and 1k for football..Not a math guy but I think whatever’s left after a 50/50 split is 0
I would not think it is 50/50. Football has 85 players to basketball’s 15. However, basket ball will require more per player than football. Maybe 60/40 or 65/35.Already knew those parts..
