Devonte Fields is looking to transfer to the Cards...you might remember the former Big 12 Defensive POY as being dismissed from TCU for beating his girlfriends and threatening her with a gun....among other things....

It's how Petrino builds good rosters. Decent recruiting and talented players that were dismissed from other teams. I thought Fields might opt for the NFL draft but maybe he's not eligible.

I believe we all knew this was coming...UL fans included...

We knew BP would put together a roster full of yard time all stars and win because unfortunately class and character are not requirements to win...just need talent...

It took Kragthorpe his entire time to purge that program of all the toxicity left by P, Brett Bielema is still cleaning up at Arkansas...

He's a poor man's urban meyer...it's all fun in games while you're winning no matter how long you're teams wrap sheet is or how many dope fiends and gang bangers you got on your team...but when you slip you're gonna slide quickly because the foundation on which you built your program is not very strong...

How Jurich and that fan base was able to welcome him back after the state he left that program in, is beyond me...

If they're not careful it could get ugly...Lucky for them, Turtleneck rules that town with and he will be able to keep most things from getting out so long as they win...

Another scumbag coming to 2nd chance U. That is one nasty witches brew that Bobby/Tom are throwing together. No doubt it will backfire on them again.

I feel sorry for the UK fans living in Louisville being forced to share their city with the parade of criminals Bobby Moped and Jurich are bringing and will continue to bring in...

The evil empire that is UK basketball continues to get lambasted by UofL fans because we don't win the "right way", which of course is by attracting the best basketball talent to the bluegrass that may only stay one year, two at most. This is just not how college athletics are supposed to be and we are scum bag fans for supporting it. Never mind the fact that just about every player Cal has brought into UK are phenomenal kids.

The blind eye is turned however when yet another transfer comes their way sporting "orange apparel" 2nd, 3rd and 4th chance U is all about giving a kid who has gotten a bad rap another chance, if of course, said transfer is really good at football. Genius Bobby getting it done anyway possible and most card fans love him for it and could not care less the character of the player that is wearing the dirty bird uniform.

Notice you don't see the talking heads for cards bring this up, this is beyond even what I thought they would do

Hey UL has their standards. There is a line that will not be crossed when it comes to recruiting. That line is firmly set at cousin rapist.

I still have my doubts.

Their coping mechanism is by comparing their football program to that of say, Alabama, and Ohio State (and it seems like Ohio State has done a pretty good job at keeping the trash out imo, unless I missed something.)
Lulzville don't recruit anything like those two schools. Those schools can recruit off of name alone. The fact that they see their program in the same light as those schools speaks of their delusions.
They don't recruit highly ranked players out of high school, they recruit good players who got kicked out of college for being a thug.

They may call us a d-league for the NBA, but it beats the @%&* out of being a one-stop-shop for convicts. The NBA is something to be proud of. Prison is not.

I would take this kid in a heartbeat. As we have found out with the 2015 recruiting class, it's very tough to bring in the talented players that you need to win with when the state of Kentucky produces such a pitiful amount of talent each year. I think we need to start looking into bringing in more of these types of players on our team so we can start winning.

Any way we can bring him in and put this boy in a room (think Silence of the Lambs) and only let him out for practice and game day?

if satan had eligibility left, they'd sign him up. then they'd say how he was an angel who fell from grace but honest bob will get him back on the straight and narrow and help him clean up his act.

The LilBro athletic dept continues its "war on women."

The CJ sits buy silently as they continue to wage that war. Its an embarrassment.

Ha, a couple of the UL propaganda talking heads were discussing this guy this morning. One said ah geeze, we really shouldn't do this. The other's response was perfect and will line up with what their fans will say....

"Welp OTHER schools are recruiting him! So why not bring him in to play for us, and then he goes off to the NFL!!"

You're one of the few. We just had a couple of good DE's that will move on and have good careers, one was raw with no D1 experience, another was a TE out of high school who did not have the most impressive physique. Neither of whom have ever beaten women, or pillaged anyone's land.
I would think that we'll be just fine at the DE position, and should not feel the need to bring in thugs.

I don't post often, but you are an embarrassment to our fan base. Please go pull for Convict U, also known as Loserville.

Sounds like a Birdie troll. The city of Louisville needs to sue the school for bringing all these criminals into their community. Louisville is dangerous enough without adding fuel to the fire so to speak.

I wonder if the Louisville's Women's center & The Feminist alliance organization on campus, know that their very own athletic department is intentionally and methodically exposing the females on their campus to violent criminal mysogynists and rapist, all for the sake of winning on the field?

I sent Eric Crawford a tweet earlier today bringing up that very article...no response as of yet.

No surprise, just embarrassment. That institution brings shame on the entire state when it allows people like Jurich and Petrino to operate in such a manner. Constantly trolling the shallows of college football for "rough fish" that others discard is a pathetic way to prop up a football program.

The lawsuit at Oregon is going to directly affect how UL is able to recruit going forward. The school is being sued for knowingly recruiting a rapist that went on to rape another girl on campus. If the case sets a precedent for strict liability on the school once they bring in a known convict Petrino's honey hole will dry up. It's disgraceful that the NCAA has allowed known criminals to retain eligibility in college athletics for so long. Don't sell an autograph, jersey, or ring but raping or beating women is perfectly fine

Well, I guess that is one area they have improved in, they are letting the flunkies investigate and fully endorse castoffs instead of jurich, but it doesn't look like him getting personally involved in recommending Willie Williams has drawn nearly as much attention as it should. I would guess he isn't scanning the prison release lists for Willie since he is serving a LIFE prison as a habitual criminal. I doubt if he is even sending him any more lobster tails.

There whole gig now is that actually there was no gun they girl thought she saw a gun but there wasn't. Still doesnt change the fact he busted out her window ,chased her down in the bedroom and punched her in the face

ooooo Louisville

Think UL has the same Saban philosophy? He says they should be given second and third chances so they have a chance from being on the streets and being an even bigger problem for society. Or is UL just thinking about the wins?

I don't have a problem with giving your player a second or even third chances depending on the offense involved. Trolling the police blotter and bringing in castoffs as a recruiting strategy is something else, however.

Love this quote from the article.....
"Louisville hasn't shied away from recruiting players with a history of
domestic violence
- the Cardinals went after former Georgia defensive
tackle Jonathan Taylor last year despite him being arrested and charged
with aggravated assault and family violence. The Louisville Courier-Journal's Jeff Greer has Bobby Petrino's explanation of that here."

I would be embarrassed to call myself a fan of that classless program.

no it wont. they have the police in their pocket as well. had a family member who was a detective at lmpd when woodard got busted with drugs and steroids in his room and he said he was going to jail for at least a year and woodard only missed 1 game i think. anyone hear anything about the cheerleader that died in a football players dorm? nope. you know cops were called with a drug overdose call to 911..... and we have to have students come to the UK boards to get the story out. i have a female cousin who lives in that dorm for free and she's giving it up and paying for an off campus apartment because she's scared at night. but let one of our players get in a fight with another football player at eku and WHAM.

The Woodyard kid got off because the detectives were found to be dirty. IIRC over 100 cases were tossed out because it was proven they had planted evidence and flat out lied in many cases. I dont remember if his case was tried out or not but in the end anything those detectives touched over something like a 2 year period was worthless. Some real bad people walked because of their misdeeds.

As far as recruiting guys with records, I dont blame schools that do it. UL has taken a ton of them over the last 15 years or so and only been burned once or twice. And if youre Bama why not take Taylor? Someone is going to take him, possibly someone on their schedule. You give the kid a chance to redeem himself and if he squanders it away he is done. You cut the cord. Have the UL kid or the Bama kid been found guilty in court? That changes things a bit if so but if theyve done their time, paid their fine etc how long are they punished afterwards and who sets that punishment? Its also important to remember that we are living in a moral less world. What I find appalling may not phase you. As for me Im of the opinion that in most cases that you should always take a talented kid that wants to play for you. As long they are eligible and have been found not guilty or if guilty they have served their time and met the requirements of their punishment. We once took a young man that had made some mistakes in his past and he was a model student and player while here. If we dont take that chance we miss out on a great player and even better kid. Id like to see us take a run at some of these kids and Ive felt that way for decades. Like it or not were not landing kids with that talent very often so when one is interested we should listen,

His issues outweighed his talents?

Or his talents outweighed his issues?

Maybe we can get Soulaimon and Duke to clarify louisvilles position on this matter.

Hmt5000....

Respectfully, I'm not buying(some). The police today, all over America, are under a huge blanket of scrutiny. There's no way to have a metro (or close) "police DEPARTMENT" , in its entirely, "in the pocket" - in 2015. That is straight up paranoia and dangerous rhetoric imo.

If these boys haven't been charged and are not awaiting trial, then they should absolutely have eligibility. Regardless. This is America, and we don't make emotional convictions based on unsubstantiated claims. There's lots of agenda driven people who make up flase claims for benefit. It's seen many times on college campuses and elsewhere in all walks.

As for the female overdose on campus, do you actually have proof that she was drugged(if that's your claim)? I'm pretty sure if you can back that up, the police would like to see what you've got.

The girl you claim wants to move into apartments because she is afraid should also submit her concerns where appropriate.

As for louisville, just because you CAN, And just because they should have their eligibility(if not convicted or awaiting), doesn't mean classy outfits are going to go at them. I coach high school sport(s), and no matter how great the player, I'd honestly rather not in those circumstances, and I'm absolutely not alone.
