Does LeBron go to Golden State?

Surely he doesn't leave again. The league needs to find a way to fix this whole jumping ship. The Warriors are ridiculous, it's not even enjoyable to watch anymore.

LeBron planned to come back to Cleveland once they acquired at least 3 overall #1 picks and a #4. He advised the Cavs on who to take so they would be ready to go once he returned. :joy::joy::boxing:[banana][cheers][roll][roll][roll][roll][roll][roll]

They don't want to "fix" it, NBA has always been about dynasties. People were saying the same about Russels Celtics, Magics Lakers, Jordan's Bulls, Duncan's Spurs..Warriors are the dominate team of the century and it's making $$$$

LBJ has one more year I believe on his current deal with Cleveland. Cavs as constructed now aren't good enough to get past GS this year or even next year barring injuries to GS. So who do the Cavs go after to bolster their lineup for next season? Paul George? Gordon Hayward?

"This whole jumping ship thing" is called free agency. It's been around awhile, you should look into it. LeBron and Durant aren't the only players to leave their teams in free agency.

I don't blame Lebron for anything he's done. Nothing. All good personal and business decisions if you ask me.

And I don't think most people would blame him if it weren't for two unfortunate statements he made:

"I'm taking my talents to South Beach." And...
"Not one, not two, not three, not four....."

What specifically is wrong with saying, I'm taking my talents to South Beach" and "I think if we come together and play the right way, I believe we can win multiple championships, not 1, not 2..."? Cal said he wanted to pass UCLA at his introduction and no one got mad at that.

Doesn't bother me too much. But he got TONS of grief for both. I'm sure you recall.

Bounce around when he's had enough. I do the same with babes. But man it was a joke.

Going to lock down my humor with the middle sentence there, BUT I guess you think Kevin Durant is a whore. And DeMarcus Cousins. And (pick a superstar that has jumped ship on bad teams).

Your disgust for LeBron is obvious, but your comment is pure idiocy.

LeBron has led both his teams. He was the leader in Cleveland the first and second time around, as well as the leader that made Miami relevant again. Not sure how you categorize him as a 'whore'.

Spurs with Chris Paul. Heard it from me first.

This is the one I've been giving the most thought to. Paul, James, Leonard, Aldridge. Would give GS a fight.

The other move I like is LeBron to Houston.

It's just that some in the current generation don't want to actually compete for titles. They join forces. Would be like Hakeem joining the Bulls in the mid-90s or Reggie Miller leaving Indiana/Ewing leaving New York to join up with Malone/Stockton in Utah.

I disagree. Players today dont want to piss their careers away on a losing team. Especially when there are so many franchises who keep making bone head drafts and trades and refuse to build around their core young talented franchise players. Look how long Wall has suffered in Washington. Look how long Cousins sufferer in Sacramento.

Just because the older generation was too stubborn to leave their team for pride doesnt mean they had more desire to compete for titles. Do you remember just how bad the Cavs teams were the first time LeBron was in Cleveland? Legit it was LBJ and like 2 decent players and about 7 scrubs. It was a miracle he ever took them as far as he did. Players today change teams to better their situations in regards to title chances, money, or other personal reasons. Not everyone wants to be Carmelo Anthony and waste away as a great player who never did anything.

Actually don't have a problem with Lebron. Best player of his era. Do you get off watching Lebron like me?

All fair points, but I think the difference was that guys like Hakeem, Ewing, Robinson, Kemp, Payton, Miller, Malone, Barkley, Stockton, etc. all actually competed for titles on their respective teams in the 90s. Unlike Carmelo, Paul, Cousins, and others, those guys from the 90s all made it routinely to their conference finals or made it to the NBA finals with the franchises they were on.

Durant was in a similar situation to the guys I listed from the 90s. He was a quarter away from knocking off GS, had an eight point lead going into the 4th quarter. It would be like Stockton/Malone signing with the Bulls at the end of the 1997 season.

Durant took the easy way to a title, and I’m not of the persuasion that all titles are created equally. Some are damn easier to obtain. This GS team being an example of that.

Cant wait til next weeks 30 for 30 on the 80's Lakers v Celtics 2 part series. Should be epic. Perhaps some of our younger posters should tune in and see the old Camelot.

Back when you could breath on an opponent without having politically correct clowns like Stern/Silver fine you $50,000 and suspend you two games.

I'm planning to watch it with the old man and crack a few beers. If done right, could be the best 30for30.

I love the NBA but hate the super team stuff. The days of guys spending their entire careers with one franchise seem to be over. Everyone wants the easy ticket. Its frustrating. The comments Lebron made about Durant going to an established team make it seem like hes in Cleveland for the long haul. The guy basically runs the team anyway. They'll do whatever he asks in order to keep him happy, as they should.

He should go to the Pelicans. Already have arguably the top two big men in the league. Run a big lineup with LeBron at the point and find some 3 and D guys to fill out the roster.

In all likelihood they still wouldn't beat the Warriors but they would definitely present some matchup problems. I think LeBrons at his best when he can be a playmaker ala Magic and doesn't have to do all the heavy lifting as an iso guy (which he is still exceptional at). PnR with LBJ and AD? Beastly.

They would be able to take advantage of Warrior small ball lineups on O (would struggle defending the Warriors but that'll be a problem for anybody). Either KD or Draymond would have to guard a guy much bigger and stronger, possibly putting them in foul trouble. I think it would be a very interesting matchup.

I don't know their cap situation so this scenario may be impossible but as a hypothetical it is very intriguing. I would love to see it happen though.

The fact is LBJ/Cavs have to do something different cause they're not beating the Warriors any time soon with their team as it is currently constructed.
