Do you Think we will get new Uni's next year?

Our current Uniform set has been worn since 2016 (By far the longest we've had the same Uniform since we ditched the Power K), before that we wore the Blue on Blue Checkerboards from 2011-2015. We have essentially worn the same base uniform for 11 years. Are we going to keep the current threads for forever and create a tradition ala, the big boys of College football, or will we get some new threads in the next few years?

Maybe, but I wouldn't expect crazy differences. In the realm of football uniforms, the changes are usually subtle......like the changes in lateral stripes.

How do Alabama and Georgia expect to get any good recruits wearing those plain old drab uniforms??? They need a gimmick. Hip graphics, outrageous helmets with enormous logos. You know, something eye catching. How about having Dior or Vercace or Chanel whip'em up something fancy...

I like the current uniform combos. My favorites are the all white and anthracite, both with chrome helmets.

Those 2004-2007 uniforms were soooooo bad. They are by far my least favorite we have ever worn in my lifetime.

The checkerboards the current uniforms have been pretty good success wise for the football team. They have had two 10 win seasons wearing the current threads so I wouldn’t go and change them to much. The basketball team current uniforms are a curse for the team as they haven’t had a final 4 run since they switched them in 2016. I heard ( KSR) that next year is the last for the current basketball teams side checkers. I’m guessing both will get new threads after next year.

What happened to all that excitement with all the UK social media accounts with the UK logo that was peeling in the top left corner like it was a sticker? There was talk of new uniforms or a new logo and then it just went completely quiet.

It's telling we have worn the chrome helmets in all 4 of our consecutive Bowl victories. I like them too. Like them better with the blue and white but won't complain about the anthracite.

I'm of the opinion that we should destroy the checkerboard patterns and burn the evidence that they ever existed.

I didn't always give too much of a care, but I'm getting tired of being so hamstrung to this ONE pattern.

We're the Kentucky Wildcats. Blue and white anything. Not the Kentucky Secretariats with checks coming out our tail ends. It was fun and "cute" when it was the belt decal on UKMBB's jerseys (with the 7 champs yrs). Now it's like we've been living in a pink pastel household from the 60s for the past 15 years.

Honestly, I can't believe I give a care at all.

I think we are getting new football uniforms, new basketball uniforms, and a remodled court finish at Rupp next year. For sure basketball, football may do 1 more year.

The turf field could use a tuneup also IMO.

-chrome helmets look great under the lights, look meh in daylight...should be reserved for a big night game or two every year.

Agree, just need the POWER K and it would be great, especially in Chrome.

I severely dislike the checkerboard but I honestly think I may hate the regular blue helmet with white facemask more than anything UK. The matte blue one with the black or blue chrome (for color rush games) isn't as bad. I just prefer a white helmet or Chrome (even though they're about 10 years past being cool).
