I know in the past that there were a lot of Kentucky fans stated that they had a lot of respect for the Arkansas basketball program when Stan Heath and John Pelphrey was their coach in the early 2000's and hoping that they would be better because of the great battles that we had in the mid 90's but some of the stuff that I've read in the past four or five years from Arkansas fans is making my hatred level raised up to how I feel about Louisville. They're always trashing our coach and program every chance they get, and this was before Monk signing with Kentucky. Of course they're joining in the Louisville's tin foil hat craziness that the only way we get top players is because Coach Cal is cheating and the NCAA is helping us.

I don't waste my time worrying about what other fan base thinks about our team, coach, university, now when they come on the rafters talking trash that's different, but I enjoy watching them get schredded by our fans, you guys do a great job of that, keep up the good work[thumb2]:cool2::popcorn:

Well to be honest haven't had a lot of respect for it since Nolan Richardson but why would the actions of a large number of idiot fans affect your respect for the program? I hope the program can turn itself around and give us some competitive games but I'm not holding my breath.

edit--forgot about the bounty on Archie, that was scum-worthy

Arkansas has certainly went downhill fast from the 90's,they have went from High Class to No Class.I have no respect for butthurt morons that are such SORE LOSERS,that they threaten the safety of a teenage kid that plays basketball.
Doubles up with the Tiny Penis Little Brother Syndrome that UL has, when they start spewing outright lies and make up conspiracies, there is nothing left to respect about any of them.
Any people that claim a POS Traitor like Hillary Clinton are sad bunch anyway.

I do because their fanbase cares about basketball. That's more than you can say about 99% of the SEC.

1995/1996 was a long time ago. They had a good run from about 1973 or so to 1995. That's about it.

I've been to BB and Football games there. I always thought their fan base was very good. The crazies need to leave the kids alone.

Zero respect and you'd hate them worse if you lived in the DFW area. Their program has really turned out a bunch of real winners over the past 25 years or so; Nolan Ricardson, Mike Anderson, the recent thugs that got arrested, Oliver Miller who pistol whipped a man in Dallas over the last rib at a buffet, etc. Real classy program.

...Tiny Penis Little Brother Syndrome...

Reminds of years ago, a few blocks off campus in the old tobacco warehouse area, of a bar/dive. On the side of it was a sign about Little Enis appearing nightly (supposed to have been a card carrying member of the Grand Ol Opry...don't know). Of course someone spray painted a 'P' in front of the Enis. I'll never forget that.

I lived in Plano,Texas back in the 70's,bunch of Arkansas fans around there even then, and yes they were pretty insufferable.

one of my favorite SEC programs -- they actually have a basketball tradition and care about the sport --- my recommendation is to just stop paying so much attention to the fanbase and enjoy the games for that they are….and oh yeah --- we will hammer Arkansas again this year

It took alot of courage for Monk to commit to us when he did. I can understand the Arkansas fans and coaches being upset, but they need to use some self descipline and control their anger, they are acting like a spoiled 12 year old kid.

No respect for them. Just another irrelevant dog crap program that will never compete with UK.

You have to give respect to get it back. The coaches, teams, and fan base that have been Arkansas basketball for as long as I've known it have not done that in any way, shape, or form. So, no, I do not, nor have I ever respected that
Program, it's teams, or its fans. No class. I hope they lose every game they play forever.

If it's only the comments about Malik Monk from a few of their fans that is giving you fits don’t be too concerned. let's not forget Scotty Hopson from Hopkinsville. He was also a #5 rated McD that was wooed by Tubby when we needed him in the worst way. He stubbed his nose at us, because he thought Tubby was a loser, (which he was) and verbaled early with Miss St, then after reopening his recruitment Tubby offered again and even set up a visit which he agreed to, but later decided he simply didn’t want to play here and canceled, then signed wit Tennessee. But did Kentucky fans give him grief? And did we all completely support his decision? Believe me we all did not. His mother even had a death threat. When it come to nut jobs Kentucky has it’s share. Maybe more in Arkansas, but we have our share.

I stopped caring anything about their program when Nolan Richardson pulled that crap in the tournament and helped from the stands when UAB played us. He gets invited to our practice by Tubby Smith and uses that against us to help Mike Anderson. When Anderson got hired by Arkansas, the hate from that moment carried over to their program.

We actually should have gave him hell though. And if Cal had been here Scotty would have been too.

I live and work where Monk plays HS basketball. Anderson is a piece of garbage for a coach. it doesn't matter if three of his players paid for stuff with counterfeit money. fans are good with putting Anton Beard back on the court. Anderson trashes players and other schools. he has nothing good to say. anderson is bitter and trashy like the fans.
