I saw Jerry Meyer's update indicating Zimmerman will likely pick UNLV. I'd love to get Zimmerman or Diallo but I think we will be fine without them.

With our current roster, we could start Skal at center. He measured at 7-feet tall at the Nike Hoop Summit. Then Poythress is your starting power forward. He'd be a 6'8 senior and I think he'll have a big year. He'd be back at his natural position. You'd have Marcus Lee, a junior, as Skal's backup at center. He's 6'9 and has a 7'3 wingspan. Derek Willis, another 6'9 junior, will be the backup for Poythress. I think those 4 are enough. Our 2012 team that won the Championship had Davis and Jones as starters with Miller, Wiltjer and Vargas as reserves. Miller was really a small forward but he played a little at the 4 when we'd go with a small lineup.

IMO, what we desperately need is a small forward. A guy in the 6'6 to 6'7 range that score and defend. We also need another guard that can score.

Thoughts?
