I can't believe they drew up a play for Jameson Williams to throw a pass with the season on the line. They still could've won without all the turnovers, despite the defense looking historically bad. Bummer. Guess I'll have to root for the Commanders if the Eagles win tomorrow.
They started the game with 18 guys on IR and lost a 19th on the first series. That defense is a mere shell of what it was in week 1 and that’s being generous. It’s a damn miracle they’ve done as well as they have but there’s no way they were winning three playoff games with that defense.
Maybe all the injuries Detroit has finally caught up to them. Like 18-20 players on IR mostly on defense.

The idea that the Lions could lose all they lost this year on defense and still be a top seed is ridiculous.
If I'm Bills or ravens next week, I'm telling my team to not tackle Mahomes as best they can. Wrap him up, dive for his ankles, but you can't go full speed at him or they're gonna call a RTP everytime.
Defenses are so handicapped against them. Their tackle false starts nearly every play. They hold on every single play to give Mahomes more time. If you get to Mahomes then it’s a penalty😂
The ONLY reason I'm even remotely OK with it is because it's driving Pats fans nuts, despite watching that nutsack Tom Brady get this same treatment for 15 years. It's great watching them realize Mahomes is likely going to smash all of his records.
But yeah the ref treatment is absurd. The real problem is the Taylor Swift angle. Now idc that she brings in fans, she seems normal enough. But once KC basically held the keys to bringing in 150 million female US viewers.. it was a wrap. The NFL isn't going to throw away the ad revenue and viewership by calling games fairly and potentially missing out on a Mahomes/Swift mega superbowl.
I wrote a letter to the Jets front office and said "I want every player to go out and date a famous young popstar, and it will bring in tons of female viewers and then maybe we can win 8 games".. they haven't responded yet.
Also, Goff just isnt the guy. If you recall, Goff and Detroit had one of the easiest schedules when it comes to playing in domes and conditions. I think all but 2 games were in a dome, and that's where Goff succeeds.

Losing the DB set the tone for the game. Amik Robertson was the slot corner all season. He moved outside due to all the injuries and was the one who shut down the Vikings Jefferson.

I don’t think Goodell was any fan of the Pats. Brady got suspended four games; the “deflategate” nonsense dominated the headlines cause of the NFL’s idiocy. They lost picks, etc. and the Pats actually lost. The tuck rule was BS but it was the rule that year and went against the Pats twice earlier in that season.
What is happening with the Chiefs is crazy. They have only lost to Tom Brady twice and Joe Burrow. They have had penalties give them Super Bowls (and amazing that the team who holds the most doesn’t get called for it in the SB).
There’s been so many games over the last three years where the Chief get a PI to help them win a game. Throw in the stuff with the NFL canceling the Bills/Bengals game to give the Chiefs the first round bye and it’s maddening. It’s endless shit like this. Taylor Swift garbage; the manufactured Kelce family overload out of nowhere. I hate these guys so much.
I hope to God the Bills can beat the Ravens and Mahomes.
Yeah I definitely think the Chiefs have hit that next level of being helped. But, I'll never forget that the way we treat QBs also changed with Brady. He ushered in the era that you can't touch these guys. And I've watched plenty of games where the Pats win because of penalties.
My worry with the Ravens is that Lamar went inexplicably full dumb against them last year. He went away from what was working and gave them that game. I trust the Bills far more and I think Josh Allen/Bills are the one team that can not only beat the Chiefs, but also aren't afraid of them (Bengals too, but I think thats starting to be a bit of a one-time thing).
The problem is, can the Bills get there? Ravens might honestly be their toughest team remaining. But good news is that its gonne be COLD in Buffalo today, with some snow, and Zay Flowers isn't playing it seems. Bills will know their only way to lose is if they let Henry run on them, so I expect them to play the run more and dare Lamar to throw it to Bateman and Andrews in below freezing weather.
Yeah, I’m a Bills fan and I believe that if they can beat the Ravens, they can get to the Super Bowl. I do not think if the Ravens beat the Bills that they will beat the Chiefs.
In regards to Brady, he has been in the league for several years and took brutal hits before they changed the rule but even then, I saw that guy get rocked more than I’ve ever seen Mahomes get hit.

Oh you are? I'm up in Albany. Whole family are Bills fans. I rebelled and became a Jets fan just to be a shit head.. and I've been paying for it ever since.
But I do love the Bills and I think Josh Allen is on a mission. It's really going to come down to if they can stop the run.. if they can't, its gonna be a long day. If they can though, then i think Bills could win this safely.

I feel ya on fandom. It was a fun a few years in the 90s and then a lot of nothing. My dad (RIP) was a Browns fan and I’m a Bills fan. Not a lot of fun times for our teams.
