Disgraceful officiating

Yes it was clearly no intent to play the ball at all. Flagrant.

My point being…if those aforementioned issues weren’t worthy of calling, why is a shoulder grab a flagrant, at that interval; going from a simple 2-shot foul to a flagrant?

That’s why I knew this game was over. Terrible officiating.

It's just getting too difficult to see this any other way. I have two thoughts/theories:

1. Officials are betting on these games, or having someone bet on them for them so as to not leave a trail to the official.
2. The SEC allows/orchestrates these things for a reason like this; Georgia is getting poll/ranking votes and they would like another SEC team ranked. This also is (obviously) related to making the tournament/seeding/etc. UK is highly ranked, the thinking goes, so they can drop some games like this and still be ranked/make the tournament. Georgia needs some wins over teams like UK to bolster their resume and it's a much bigger deal for them to win vs. UK than it is a ding to UK in losing. I think the SEC does this in football all the time. It's just harder to do because there are so few games compared to basketball.

The lopsided nonsense to just too frequent to ignore at this point.
It's hard to say these guys don't have sisters uncles and brothers betting for them or likely outcomes. I was for sports betting and play everyday but alot of stuff is noticeable

Nah, really good teams overcome that.
BTW when I say really good teams I am talking teams that end up being 1 seeds or high 2 seeds. Those types of teams. I think we are top 20 good, but not top 8 good. Just my opinion. Better than we have been in recent years, so I am glad Pope is here.

Did we lose already?
I didn't see the game because it wasn't streamed here, but all I saw was GA, Offensive rebound, about 25 times. You can't win anywhere if you are going to allow that. Yes, the refs in the SEC suck, but you have to play the games irrespective of how the game is called.

We don’t play that hard

The positive is that we matched Georgia in the 2nd half…even with the officiating. No way am I mad at Pope, team, nor ANY individual player(s)…this was a bad game from start to finish with help from the stripes.

Officials do decide games. Been that way since I started watching games. Happens to every team on the road. It is never going to stop. That means we will have losses. That is not bad mouthing your own team, just stating a fact.
If you agree that they do decide games then what was the point in chirping me to begin with? You think they do cheat but it is just not OK to point it out and demand better?

Since early on I've thought UK is not a team that gets its share of 50/50 balls. Also, to me it seems they watch the ball quite a bit rather than going after rebounds - to the point the ball will sometimes bounce on the floor in front of a couple of our guys when neither of the guys have moved toward the ball.

Seems like they never crash the boards. We take a lot of shoots a bit too early as well and have no one around to attempt a rebound. They all need to commit to it if there is any hope.

Awful refs not sure but they could have taken alot of energy from Ky and of course, Ky did not seem to have much energy to take.
