Didnt Rosenthal have a good combine/pro day?

Seems like I remember some of his metrics being pretty strong. Got some bad advice re: draft, imo. Starting LT on another good UK team might have increased his visibility plus given him another year to get stronger and improve his technique. Damn shame for the kid. Hope he catches on somewhere.

His pro day was mixed, if I remember correctly he didn’t participate in all drills … one in particular was the bench press

Has he even signed as an UDFA yet???

If he hasn't, why in the world did he declare for the draft????
I’m sure he’s looking for the best fit to give himself a chance. But no doubt it’s looking like the wrong decision now. He’s going to be fighting an uphill battle and likely gave up at least six figures in NIL money.

He needs to kick the dog crap out of who ever told him he was ready for the NFL... He needs more reps at LT for at least one more year before he is close to being ready.. I still hope he makes a team and gets rich in a couple years..

Seems like he opted out of the Citrus Bowl as well. That is another reason not to opt out. Iowa had a very strong defense, maybe if the pros had seen another game film of him against tough competition, would have maybe encouraged someone to pull the trigger on him in the late rounds.

Lot of ifs and buts, but Rosenthal turning pro is looking like a head scratcher to me. I can understand Boom Williams and Lynn Bowden - they weren't going to get any taller or faster with another year at UK, but an interior lineman certainly could improve himself a lot, like Fortner did.

I was thinking about this last night. Surely, he received some feedback from the staff and/or agents who should know whether he's ready or not. Haven't heard anything to indicate this but did DR feel like staff might move him back to RT or he was in danger of not starting? That might certainly have encouraged him to try the NFL but, as I said, nothing has even been speculated along these lines. Just sort of occurred that something like this could have pushed him towards declaring.

Otherwise, it appears to be a bad decision on his part.

Tape against Iowa might've made the difference? What could they have seen vs Iowa that they didn't see against Georgia?

Might have called into question his dedication to the team, especially as he apparently wasn't a lock to get drafted in the first place.

He's always looked like a "pass" on the bench. I actually wonder if he might have an insufficiently rehabbed shoulder or pec injury.

I thought he was a disappointment for much of the season but the bowl game proved to me that he was more effective than I'd realized. Still, a starter for LSU comes here and isn't immediately a stud - a lingering small amount of disappointment, I guess. I thought he'd done well at the combine but forgot he didn't lift. Why go through the Pro Day/combine if you're not prepared to do everything? Doesn't it make you seem like you're avoiding what you think may be a bad metric?

Re DR and combine...he ran well, one of best 40 times for OL. He also had a really good vertical. Don't know about anything else.

Pretty sure he missed the bowl game due to injury.

IIRC, and I could be wrong, but that was the "official" word but Stoops pretty clearly indicated he was pretty aggravated at his absence.

Could be, I just don't remember anything other than he "had an injury." Maybe that was legit, maybe he was milking a boo-boo.

Almost no OL did the bench press due to them having to turn around and immediately do the running drills that they're more judged by. If they keep them both the same day it will be a thing of the past. Dare should have at least ran the other drills as it seems those are more what they go by

Seemed like every time I looked up he was getting burned on the left side in games. I wasn't super impressed TBH
