It would seem that if Hamdan prefers a pro-style QB that also has some wheels for scrambling/QB designed runs, then this kid would seem like a perfect fit to build around for the future. For those unfamiliar, he's a highly touted 4/5 star from Georgia who committed to Ohio State in the 2024 class and apparently didn't see any game action this season, which would make him a redshirt freshman next season with 4 years to play. He helped lead his high school team to the 6A state title and set records in the state of Georgia. He hit the portal on December 16th. He's 6-2/192 and runs probably a 4.5 forty.
Why not throw some serious NIL at this guy and bring him in? Give him a chance to compete against Boley and Calzada for the starting job this season, then groom him to take over as starter as a sophomore. If we really need a mobile QB, then we need to start recruiting mobile QBs instead of traditional pocket passers with cement feet. It makes no sense. Plus, I like the name "Air Noland".
