There is still an "establishment" bias against Cal, and this loss will give 'validation" to passing on him.

There is NO reason why Cal will not coach the USA Olympic team at some point in the future.T
This coaching of a USA team was a starting point.
There are people that know BASKETBALL and run amateur basketball in a Professional way.
The real question is, would Cal want to coach the Olympic team at some point.
