They asked in the post game show and he said he thought about going to him but didn’t for two reasons. He said he didn’t think all of the problems were Wade’s fault and he wanted to see how he would respond to adversity and settle in. I don’t particularly like that answer if winning the game is your priority. It sounded more like something you would do in a spring game. But that is what Stoops said his reasoning was.

I don’t agree with that but Stoops doesn’t like playing more than one QB in a game. Definitely think it would lead any backup with confidence to transfer.

Stoops is always the slowest coach in the country to make any sort of meaningful changes. He’s too busy with that deer in the headlights look on the sideline. He has a lot of strong qualities, making changes and adjustments in a timely fashion isn’t one of them. He stayed with Gran way too long. It took him way too long to alter his offensive philosophy. He should have gotten a new offensive line coach in the off-season, it’s more than just a talent issue

Wonder if Stoops thought it was Sherons fault they lost against South Carolina? Stoops is vanilla as hell.

They ask Stoops as he was going off the field at halftime and his first comment was they was going to have to possibly change the QB. I don't know, but after him saying that someone must have talked him out of it. You saw Saturday night how good of QB's it takes to get to the final four. We have to either get a 4 star QB that should really be a 5 star out of high school and hope he can handle it in a couple of years or get a big time proven one out of the portal if we want a chance at a national championship opportunity. This developing QB's in the SEC, I have little confidence in it anymore. Coming out of high you have to have one that is a natural good decision maker, that has a good arm and can run if needs to. So I say even next year go get the best QB available in the portal and if whoever is here can beat them out so be it. Even next season I would like to see another experienced QB with decent talent brought in if possible so if Leary gets hurt. This QB thing has kept us down so many years in our history.
