I sure hope they look way better than they did on Saturday against ASU. Not a knock on ASU, and I get that one game in December doesn't make or break a college basketball season, but Texas A&M won't be winning the SEC looking like that!
Lol I like Jay as much as any Duke fan, but that comment makes him sound ignorant. I get that Eastern Kentucky may not be a powerhouse, but they've been a good Ohio Valley Conference team the last three years. As good as anyone not named Belmont or Murray State.
Oh no, a sports analyst has a different opinion than someone else. He must be stupid. Let's call him stupid, because he's a tool for not exclusively saying things we agree with.

Idk why some people expected such a huge blow out over a 7-2 decent mid major. 21 points is pretty good. EKU hit a couple lucky threes to make it closer than it really was but did anyone really feel like UK was threatened? I sure didn't. I felt relaxed the whole game.
Jay was trying to make a point and did a very bad job of it. He said we were young and playing like we were young. Where a mature team would beat a team like EKU by 70 after the way we played at UCLA. He has been pretty high on UK this year. Didn't think it was that big of a deal. He is not off base, right now we are not playing good basketball.
They just showed highlights of the Kansas game against a 3-5 holy cross team which basically had the same halftime score as our game (50-33), but instead of bashing them jay goes ahead and anoints Kansas as the best team in the nation while we're apparently doomed for beating a 7-2 team averaging 90 ppg by only 21 points... The double standard and hate is amazing...
Saying that someone should have won by at least 70 is pretty stupid.

I'd say TAMU and Vandy are the favs for the SEC right now. And YES, I saw that Vandy lost at home to Dayton. Flyers are a decent team though. We have some major issues to solve before I'm willing to talk about us winning the conference. In fact, we may get beat by ASU on Sat. So, saying TAMU will win the SEC is crazy at all.

I don't think he was saying KU is the best team because they were beating Holy Cross. How is it a double standard and hating? I don't really get that. Because he didn't pick UK? I'm a true blue through and through and I can realistically look that teams around the country with an unbiased opinion. With that said, I think KU is the best team at this moment. Doesn't mean they will or won't be later but as far as right now, I would have to agree with him. With the addition of Diallo down low and their 3 pt shooting, they're looking pretty damn good. You have no idea how much that pains me to say but I think it's the truth right now. Does that mean I'm hating? Holy Cross didn't have a damn thing to do with why he made that statement. There are alot of "experts" who feel the same way, not just Williams. Just don't get why that is a double standard.

I think Jay tries very hard to be objective, but behind that thin layer of fairness he tries to wear on his face, I can see the guy high fiving anyone within arm's reach every time UK gets bounced in March or April.
Vandy's second best player is going to be out for 4-6 weeks. I wouldn't call them the favorite right now as a result of that injury.

Sagarin would predict a 20 pt win today after the game. I doubt it was much different last night.
Well, the game at Texas A&M is one that we likely will be a betting underdog in, and very likely will lose. A&M wasn't ready to play at Arizona State, just like we weren't ready at UCLA. But A&M is a very good team. I don't think it's crazy at all to suggest A&M could win the conference. In fact, I posted it on this board months ago, and was widely ridiculed. Go through the head-to-head match ups, including bench, and you will see that they match up pretty well with us.
Not that RPI is any solid metric. But EKU is in the 130's and Holy Cross is in the 280's..

Jay is more entertainment than analyst. He likes making grand statements that go against the grain because he's pretty active on Twitter and likes the back and forth with fans. I think he's funny and prefer him over the stuffy dudes with no personality.
I think that's true. The first thing he mentioned after the game was what he got from social media. I'm guessing the fans gave it to him pretty good. His comments were ridiculous though. Probably should tone down the hyperbole a bit, I mean 70 points? That just trashes credibility.
Relax people, man being a UK fan is difficult these days.. Just watch and enjoy the growth and development of this team.. Saturday against a solid Ariz State team that beat A&M will be another opportunity to either shut people up, or make them talk more.. Enjoy it! This is fun.. We will be fine
