Did I just read that..

From googling it seems that Noel turned down an offer that was and AVERAGE of 17 million a season. While i would never turn that down, it makes more sense that he turned down a longer term contract.

He is likely to get that 17 mil figure next year anyway in unrestricted free agency. So if that's truly his floor, what difference does it make to wait a year?

The mavs can offer him more money than any other team. They don't appear willing to do that now. So best case, you have a great year and get the Mavericks max. Ok case you get the max from another team at the reduced rate. Worst case, you get the 17 per year you were gonna get anyway. It's a legit bet on yourself.

That being said, injury is the caveat.

Probably has a nice personality.
Funny thing is she doesn't. She's an obnoxious sjw.

The entire pitch for her is that she's an average at best looking Asian girl who just happens to have the gift of breastiness.

Not an all bad gift.

Someone was making up the 17 million a year thing.

He turned down a 4 year $70 million contract earlier in the summer that averages $17 million a year. The offer was pulled when Noel said that he wanted a max contract.

If Noel can prove he is not injury proned, his play on the court will prove he is worth more than 4 million a year. As far as I know, shot blocking is still something that has been known to earn a frontcourt player top dollar. When Noel is healthy, we know not many playing hoops that are better than him at blocking shots. Noel is a special player and after this year, I have a feeling his market value will show the same.
