Yes he did and he's not completely wrong. Rick does a poor job with top tier talent but he does a really good job with the 3 star projects.
If Michigan state is the number 3 team in the country then basketball is beyond down this year.
He also just gave Pitino credit for developing Damian Lee who is a 5th year senior who played at Drexel and average over 20 ppg last year.
Maybe the Drexel coach should get some credit for that Danny.....

No I haven't. He was a big proponent of our team last year. He said something controversial earlier this year about another team and I defended him then, but I can't any more. He's ridiculous this game.
Really starting to feel like KU just choked as Bill Self likes to do against Michigan St. They can't even dribble. I don't understand why they are letting them disrupt them this badly.
Gotta be patient with Michigan State. They are so hot and cold. A lot of teams are hot and cold but State is the only program I know of that is always hot and cold in every game they play.
During the first half of the MSU/KU game someone started a thread saying MSU was "hot garbage". As soon as that thread was started MSU turned it around and won the game.

I was at the Champions Classic and stayed for the second game. I was pulling for Sparty pretty hard because I hate KU. But the Choke Hawks just wet the bed the last 10 minutes. Now Valentine played out of his mind, but KU should've still won.
Apparently Quinn Snyder had no idea how to shoot a basketball before Pitino started coaching him.
I'll give Pitino this. He gets his guards to play defense. But this "he develops his players better than anyone" stuff is pure nonsense. If he COULD develop guys, Russ Smith and Mouthpiece wouldn't have seen their stock drop after coming back for one more year just for that purpose.

He cant develop top talent. derrick character, samardo samuels, Jennings, Earl clark, Juan palacios, Behanan, Blackshear - all former 5 stars who have either never played in the NBA (with the exception of Clark who rides the pine if he is still in the league even). Almost every 4 star big man theyve ever had has never even sniffed a sembelence of a relevant career too.
