Dick Vitale has gotten so bad it's almost impossible to believe

I think he's been fine. Missed a name or two. I'm just surprised it took this long for someone to post about Vitale.
I just wish he would tell us how we're not great
It's more a personal opinion... but he really doesn't spend much of any time on the actual game. He spends so much time on topics that aren't part of the actual game.
- "what would happen if Anthony Davis was a Sr, Towns was a So, Noel was a Jr, etc... In reality Noel and Towns probably come to UK because Davis was not at UK and in NBA, etc..
- Does his typical Duke drivel for a few minutes, etc..

Is rather hear Vitale than anyone else ESPN has. Just my personal taste. I grew up listening to him and always loved it.
My solution to him and any of the talking heads is to turn the sound down enough to only hear the crowd noise and whistles.
Dick V has to be the vocal point, just ask him.

He has helped the game of College Basketball over the past 30 plus years, much the same way Keith Jackson was the face of College Football for so many years.
He will tell it like it is ex. Skal needs to return next season. He complimented the UK teams' play, the Cheerleaders 21 NC's, and the most passionate fans in the country....... What's wrong with that ?

He looks like a shit eatin dog. Makes me want to puke. He made it known that this wasn't a real good UK team over and over. You notice he said UK was only team to really beat Duke. WHAT? I know Jefferson has been out but he never mentioned their losses at home. Screw him.
He adds nothing but bs to a broadcast. He wants to be an entertainer. That's what the teams are for just call the game.
I believe Vitale really helped promote College basketball and has great enthusiasm for the game, I didn't appreciate his berating BBN when Tubby left, I know and understand he was trying to stick up for Tubby and thats OK but he really went overboard with it freaking out on national TV he should have just give his opinion if he thought that was necessary and let it go.
Worst announcer ever was Bob Knight. Listening to him was like listening to someone scratch on a chalkboard. Imo, we just don't have many good sport announcers nowadays to call a game.
Probably out bird hunting on someone's property without their permission, or just sitting at home drinking Pabst Blue Ribbon and bullying the wife.
Might have thrown a chair at her by now.
I don't know how old you are but when Vitale first started he was really good. A whole lot different than he is now.
Some of us would like to hear someone talk about the game and give some insight. Nothing you mentioned comes close to that..
As annoying as Vitale is Mark Jones was even worse today. He misidentified UK players several times.
i'd rather not have to make that choice, and not have a braying jackass talking about duke and the yankees as part of the broadcast
I agree. Dicky V. was so bad today that I finally turned the sound off and just watched the game. Nice change of pace.

What irritates me that he says continually is "there's no doubt about it" trying to stress his point. Of course we can probably make a long list of irrating statements.
THIS^^^^ Vitale just rambles on and on about everything but the game he gets paid to broadcast to the fans.
VERY NEXT words out of his mouth..."Ulis is unstoppable!!!".
Which one is it Dick!? Just an explaination is all we would like from the coaching wunderkind and Detroit cast-off.
