Deone Walker hit

Not sure I can remember at UK a man of his stature busting thru the interior of a big time offensive line, meeting the RB in the backfield and taking him down like a play toy.

Was about to post the same thing. Curci always said Still could take care of his side of the field himself. Plus Still was 6'7'-6'8", I think some forget that.
Wasn't Curci's defense a "Wide Tackle-6" or a 44? The tackles would line up on the outside shoulder of the guard and the DE's were a stand-up position, with two MLB's in the guard-center gap and two OLB's over the tight ends?

They were both in on this play. I think we’ll see them on field together a lot.

We have great depth that showed last night in 4th qtr. We have 6-7 guys that rotate in the front 3. That’s how you have strong line. I like Rogers and Walker on field at same time.

Yep ... Rogers ate up the double team freeing Walker up to toss the center aside and destroy the RB.

A monster. We need him at nose. He and Rogers need to switch
Walker is a monster. I do not think we want him and Rogers to switch, because Walker is quicker than Rogers. Rogers does a great job at the nose, but Walker can play 3 technique which is insane for a guy his size.

With Walker, I think we have a player with the length and size of Elam, strength of McCall, quickness of Corey Peters, and heart of Jarmon. It sounds crazy, but I think this is what he is.

Van Hiles has been highlighting some of his plays when he breaks down film and Walker is making plays you just don't expect a freshman to make. Several times against Miami of Ohio he just bull rushed his defender into the running back. Pretty sure it was against Florida he threw his blocker into the hole knocking the runner off balance as he went through and Weaver lands on him for the finish. Hes just a bull in there and in 100% here for it

Dewayne Robertson was the only one I've seen come close. Never thought we'd have 3 or 4 of him on the dl.

Big boy football

Yeah!

I remember seeing that play live & thinking ...........WE dont have players that look like THAT .......and dude is fm Motown??

That guy is going to be a force -

Ya'll remember Pappy Brooks beating a strong UGA team one year ... and I'm pretty sure It was our DL-Myron Pryor ,...read a screen play and just ran THROUGH this UGA RB as he was starting to dash forward

THAT hit was one those really rare ones where you're immediately concerned that someone just got seriously hurt

We parked in the red lot & I noticed two vehicles waiting on me to back in ( so I’m not hijacked 30 minutes trying to get in traffic to get in traffic). So soon as I got backed in with the help of a semi sober passenger, I apologized for the hold up etc.

This was a beautiful college aged young lady and her mother was very gracious and classy for my apology. I had heard her mom tell her she was thirsty so I offered her about anything you could buy in there packed in the cooler. She went to dig through the Buckys ice 🧊 we had packed 10”’s deep when I noticed she had her nails did and asked my friend to dig her and her daughter some waters and vitamin waters. I honestly thought it was maybe a rust belt recruit b/c of their Michigan tags so tried to be an extra special ass kisser for the big blue being the team player I am.

Anyway, I asked them what part of Michigan they were from and they said Detroit. I asked if they were long time Wildcat fans and they said they would be for at least three maybe 4 years in a semi joking way we thought. I asked why 3 or 4 years?,….& the attractive young lady said her boyfriend played D line for Kentucky. My Cat smarts was semi correct. ( not TheHack predicting a dominant win in the swamp level, but as they say up Marrowbone kloawste). I told her I hope it’s 4 years they’re Kentucky fans b/c I got to much Wildcat in me. But asked her what his name and jersey # was told her if he’s a freshman he should see the field first year first game. Then she said he told her he’d been getting first string reps. etc. & I’d remembered landing a Detroit diamond.

All I can say is I’m glad I could pretend to be a gentleman long enough to walk on in to Commonwealth/CM Newton / Kroger/ fielded Stadium. But her and her mother were very classy and outgoing & gracious ladies appreciative of the gesture etc.

I hope Kentucky suits him - them & her and their mom n emm b/c he is a rare talent I’m 97% sure Big Dog probably gave the finger to & most likely had something to do with his presence,…. in the Bluegrass state. If we cannot make them more comfortable about anywhere in Kentucky than Detroit does that would be a shame.

🙏Long live the Motor City Mauler , #0 on Defense ~ Detroit Deon Wildcat Walker!!!
