Deone Walker hit

The 3-4 defense works when you have some pressure from the 3 down linemen vs just 3 guy tying up blockers which is ok. Ox and Walker will do more than that. A lot of space will be eaten up by this D line freeing up Weaver and Wright to move to the ball. 2nd half shut out looked good.

I’m waiting to see if the weight Ox took off is beneficial. Usually d line players try to gain weight. Does look quicker but maybe not as stout? Interesting.

He was starting to look dominant on passing downs before he got hurt last year. It was kind of crazy how he would shoot through the line from the DT spot and get to the QB.

He hasn’t picked up where he left off, but it’s still early in the season. He may not be back to 100% health.

Perhaps that good but a different position. DW is DT/NT. AS was a DT/DE; i.e., faster but not as strong.
Art pretty much shut down the run game on his side of the field. Maybe that was what Jeff was talking about. The hit he put on that running back late in the game was a massacre.

Lol As Im rewatching the Walker truck, Im eating Detroit style pizza from the Hut and I just fini jogging with my Snell jersey #26, the same # we scored v UF yesterday!
Im telling you guys something special is brewing!

Was about to post the same thing. Curci always said Still could take care of his side of the field himself. Plus Still was 6'7'-6'8", I think some forget that.

Different type of game last night -- it was mostly all about staying in your lanes, and contain Richardson....

No disagreement. But as you say, he was on the side of the field. DW is in the middle.

Big boy football
I've been thinking that since last night. That's Stoops' style. Late in game, people on the game thread were calling for CMS to open the play calling on 3 & 8/whatever in FL territory vs. playing ball control. But he knew what his D was & could continue to do so thought the bigger risk was a bad O play. Vindicated to me.

A monster. We need him at nose. He and Rogers need to switch

They were both in on this play. I think we’ll see them on field together a lot.

We have great depth that showed last night in 4th qtr. We have 6-7 guys that rotate in the front 3. That’s how you have strong line. I like Rogers and Walker on field at same time.

The kid's a stud. These freshman have my jaw on the floor a lot. That dane key touchdown catch was elite. Walker looks like an Alien. Brown's KR was unreal.
Wasn't that long ago we were pitching kids early playing time because we needed them. Now we've got the most talented group of upperclassmen I can ever remember, and we have true freshman playing meaningful snaps.
We're truly in the golden age.
