That's D'eryck Jackson, senior LB #54. Guy's all over the field, a real football player.
The DL Jackson has not played, probably a RS candidate.
Dude slept in his car coming up to tryout/camp for the Cats.
Only other SEC offer was one of the Mississippi schools.
It was probably Ole Miss, and now we see that he made a better choice
Seriously, I remember that story about his sleeping in his car to get here for the camp when he earned his offer, but I have no idea who his other offers were.
What I could find was offers from UK, Ole Miss, Miss St and Purdue. He was only a 5.5 but I recall his HS film, the guy could hit a TON. BTW, 2 RS freshmen, Bryant and Godfrey, back up Jackson and Pop and the staff is VERY high on those guys.
Jackson makes plays every game. Plays hard ALL the time. Wasn't that him covering the receiver down the sideline? Seems to be a smart player also.
