That game was a coming out party for Rex nationally. One of the most exciting games I’ve ever watched.

Still got the game on VHS tape but also now have on DVD and watch it once a year, man what a coming out party for Rex.

The dunk on Kenny Payne. The behind the back spin move before the half. I didn't have to watch the vid because I remembered that, but I did anyway. This was King Rex's coming out party. This game also had one of my favorite Wildcats in Ed Davender. Ed has got to be the most underrated player in UK history. A very solid PG. Good memories here.

Rex really was the "Boy King" back then.

He is one of the best basketball players I've seen live in my life. Kid could fly.
