Former UK Linebacker great passed away today at just 54. He was one of the best on and off the field.

If it was under Curry there's plenty of reason to think we lost. I think Wells played at Bishop David
in Louisville. We got a few good players out of there. Paul Calhoun comes to mind. As a safety I
think he set the record for interceptions in a season or for his career here and was also a good punter

He one of the few players of the Curry era who could play defense at a high level. It’s a shame he played for such a poor coach and teams.

I played Co-Ed volleyball with his sister. It’s amazing he was such an Athletic monster and she was 5-6 and tiny. His parents always had several pictures of beer waiting for us when we came out of the sand. Came to watch her play ever week. Great people. RIP Dean.
