Davion Mintz has HOPS

Ashton Hagans had like three dunks in two years and missed a couple too. This kid is more athletic than Hagans and askew. Not that it matters.
Not even close. Hagans is really athletic. He couldn't finish near the rim but that had nothing to do with a lack of athletic talent. He wasn't a John Wall or Eric Bledsoe level athlete but Hagans was more athletic than most that have come through here.

Just by watching video of Mintz I’d say he is more athletic

Why are y’all counting standing verticals? Nobody is dunking flat footed except a center.

The dunks in the video were average. Most d1 players can do those as already stated. In fact you’ll probably find someone in a local men’s league that can do the dunks in the video.

I just hope he can shoot and play smart. We rarely have players dunking in game anymore, especially at pg.

Mintz is very athletic I'll grant you that. I just believe that because Hagans was such a poor finisher people are short changing how athletic he actually was. We played against some great guards over the past couple of seasons. When Hagans was on his game he made those guys look like garbage. He ran circles around that PG from North Carolina. Games that Hagans was on, he was the best player on the court. He embarrassed some great players and made it look effortless. There is still a lingering memory however of what Hagans looked like when he was struggling. And the end of the season encased that in concrete.

Tough crowd. Perhaps the comments are more directed at the OP than Mintz, but the kid was just trying to show how his in feeling fine after a prior injury, not that he is the next Hami.

Hagans UNC game was the biggest fluke of all time. He literally had balls bouncing right into his hands. What did he have like eight steals? He wasn’t just picking pockets all game

If you're basing that purely on highlight videos ..and especially vids of a kid doing dunks against no defense in an empty gym with all the time he needs to get his steps right ..versus watching Hagans play full actual games, then you are being foolish with your criteria.

Hagans can do awesome dunks too when he's unguarded on an empty court. Nearly ALL high D1 guards can.

Hagans is obviously athletic relative to the average human being. Relative to the average D1 guard he is not
