Zimmerman would really help us right now. If he signs with us, he replaces Humphries on the roster. Hump is not ready to contribute yet. We could use Zimmerman to give us another option inside. So maybe it was the wrong choice, at least for us. Of course, Zimmerman is likely gone after this season and Humphries will be back, so in the long run it might be better for us that we didn't get Zimmerman.

We just don't know, we can merely speculate.

Sucks for Zimmerman he is still a 1st round pick next year though. And interesting to think of the guys who spurned us:Brown, Zimmerman and Newman are at this point not going to make the tourney. Diallo gets garabage minutes at ku. So it goes...

Mike Brown appears to be the early favorite to replace Rice. Personally I would like to see UNLV go after Bryce Drew from Valpo.

UNLV is a real mystery to me. They have everything in place to be successful. Good facilities, strong fan support, nice location, less than competitive conference. They should be a college basketball power. Seems after missing on Pitino they've hired one bum after another. Really no reason UNLV shouldn't be a stronger program.

It seriously wouldn't surprise me to see Pitino to UNLV. Louisville is gonna get hit hard with sanctions and Dr. Ramsey hasn't given him a vote of confidence. Regardless, it would be a great rumor to rile the Card Nation up.
