Does anyone have any insight as to when he will announce his decision to stay or go? Any rumors as to which way he is leaning?
Getting him back for another year would be huge for what should be at least a good offense with a chance to be a very good one.

No news is good news in this instance. Until we here he is done, I will assume he is staying.

And yes, I realize what happens when one "assumes". 😁 😁 😁

He's stupid if he leaves. He'll be lucky to be a 5th round pick and that's fkn ignorant.

Seems Stoops said a while ago there was two things with Dare. A hurt arm and he stopped himself saying the second thing. Could have been the virus or could have been something else. We may not know some things. Or could be just speculating into nothing.

He should come back next season and improve his draft stock. He still needs a lot of work on his strength and technique.

There isn't a whole lot of question (not in my mind, at least) that Rosenthal can help himself by coming back to UK for one more season. He has NFL size, but his technique can still use a lot of work.

There also isn't any question that Rosenthal could really help Will Levis and Liam Coen by coming back. I attended the Citrus Bowl. Without Rosenthal, the left side of our OL was porous. Levis got sacked six times in the bowl game, and most of those came from his blind side.

I am sold on Goodwin. But it will be better for Goodwin's learning process to back up an experienced starter for a year.

Yea, Stoops seemed a little irritated talking about it. I have no inside knowledge but I assumed Dare was sitting out and Stoops didn't want to say it.

I think he has until the 17th to declare if I'm not mistaken. We'll know soon.

It's hard to judge if he improves his stock or not by returning (same goes for any player) without being able to compare to returning offensive tackles nationwide. Maybe the offensive tackle class will be stocked next year. Maybe not too.

Separately, He's probably a RT at the next level regardless, right?

We are dealing with a whole new set of circumstances for players maybe waiting for NIL offers.

I agree the smart move would be for him to come back, but sometimes guys have the wrong person in their ear telling them to go now. Whether that is the case or not I have no clue, but it happens more often than not. What also has me worried about him was the talk at the beginning of the season that he test off the charts and we have seen many times guys who kill it in the combine but have a decent season get drafted high based on their potential.

We really do need him back in the worst way, if he comes back and develops like we all think he can there is no reason he couldn't put himself in the top 2 rounds of the draft. It would definitely help Coen and Levis to have him back and I'm with you on thinking Goodwin needs to be second string starting out. It's a lot to ask of a true freshman to come in day 1 and start at LT in the SEC. Fingers crossed that Rosenthal makes the right decision.

Didn't Rosenthal end the year with an elbow injury? Depending on the severity, that could prevent him from lifting and maybe keep him out of the NFL combine. Best scenario could be to come back, rehab and start anew in '22.
