I don’t get it. Kid came in very humble and hungry as a frosh. Caught a few TD’s and now his head has swelled.

Key got a “talking to” from at least 3 coaches after his uncalled for penalty for taunting. Doubt he does that again.

he is a 19 year old kid.... was excited and a lil aggressive with a head tap... he didn't drive drunk, rough anyone up, or disrespect his team.... He made a heck of a catch, and if his teammates want to call it an ass hat move, they are free to do so. But i bet they wouldn't..

I loved the helmet tap personally. Didn't need to be called, was akin to tappin' a guy on the ass, good try, move on. Also it was hilarious after the jawing they were doing a few plays earlier and the game was basically outta reach at that point.

Agreed, and considering Key's play as of late. He's the last guy that needs to be showboating and disrespecting another's effort.
There's no excuse for getting taunting penalties and the 15 yard loss that comes with them. But... that one was hilarious.

Part of what problem? From every angle, Dane Key is a respectable kid from a respectable family. He made a mistake after he made an awesome play. A lot better penalty than an off sides drive killer. There is no problem with Dane Key. Period.

It was a great catch but a dumb play to Pat the guys helmet. It really didn’t bother me but for some damn reason, they don’t allow any form of celebration. Can’t have fun in the ncaa.
Didn't say his catch was mediocre, but his recent play has certainly been mediocre at best. As I said before DK has no business show boating or disrespecting others efforts.
Yeah, I agree that his play has not been good this season, but I look at that penalty differently. I think he got his TD, good catch, and is trying to get his confidence and swagger back. I didn’t see it as gloating, but trying to find himself again.
Next week when a Florida wr. pats a UK player on the head after scoring, wonder if you'll feel the same.......
