Came out tonight during the UNC game and said if there was any school out there negatively recruiting against UNC and they're telling recruits not to go there, then they are liars for stating that something is going to happen to UNC.

Also said its not Roy's responsibility to make sure that AFAM classes are legitimate. He told the story of the AFAM head that he went to Africa during the semester, but Roy's hands were tied to be able to keep up with the players' grades.

He also said that IU had a professor who sponsored a class called 'Rocks for Jocks'. Said there may have been work to be done, but it was easy work.

Dakich is simply not making sense because he thinks Roy should be clear and absolved from all the things that are keeping UNC from getting 5 star players.

I heard that but at first thought it was another Vitale rant as my hearing is not so good.

What is with these talking heads taking up for a program that has blatantly been cheating for 60 years? I would assume all these biased asshats are employees of ESPN where their darlings UNC and Duke can do no wrong.
It's my opinion that every other school and or conference in the NCAA should demand swift and harsh action against both of those schools that act like they are above and beyond every one else in the alliance.I don't know if it's big tobacco money paying for the pass and obvious media bias these two schools get,but it's wrong and needs to be righted at any expense. So easy for Cheaters like UNC and Duke to win because they are immune from the rules and sanctions everyone else has to abide by.

When the allegations against RMK came out about choking a player, Dakich said it never happened. The guy has no ethics or integrity.

IMO, the conference should be doing the policing of rogue schools who aren't complying with NCAA regulations. If the NCAA threatened to penalize the entire conference, you bet some of these figure heads would take action.

I've been pining since the UNC allegations started that Swofford was nothing but an apologist, as he's not interested in nothing but a revenue stream for his conference. When Clemson was put on probation in the 80s, Swofford was being called our for a 3rd year of probation by the conference after the NCAA placed them on 2 years. 2 Clemson appeals didn't shorten their probation.

As time has gone by, he's moved further and further away from any discipline issues in his conference.
Nothing done to Boeheim conference related, or will be done to Pitino by the conference.

John Swofford is a tar heel. He was AD at UNC when the fake classes started. He will do anything to make this scandal go away.

Add him to the list. John Saunders, Greg Anthony (I think), Jay Bilas, Dan Dakich.......

It's pathetic.

I honestly think the sheer recruiting dominance that Cal and UK are displaying yr in and out is starting to get to these talking heads.

Sit back and enjoy watching them meltdown one by one.

If I were someone associated with a school that was just put on probation or is being investigated by the NCAA I would refuse any punishment until the UNC thing is wrapped up & they're serving their punishment. I would challenge the NCAA just like UNLV's Tark did. No punishment for me until UNC gets theirs.
