Come on Houston!!!

OH,...

😁
Mississippi: Did I ask a fool question?

Duke: You Did.

Good morning from ATX. Currently 43°F, partly cloudy and windy. Today's high may hit 58°F. Late spring chill.

Heh, Duke melted down last night. Classic. Happy for the Cougars and Kelvin Sampson.

Leave later for a walk. Grocery shopping also on the agenda. Play Forge of Empires (FoE). Wish y'all another peaceful Sunday.

I could kick myself for going to bed with less than 10 minutes to play. I didn't want to witness another Duke Final 4 win. Should have stuck it out.

This will be Houston's 3rd trip to the final game and everybody remembers the 1983 classic. Jim Valvano's celebration. Phi Slamma Jamma and the collapse at the free throw line. That game winning basket by NC State will always be iconic.

Morning D-Leaguers!

35° this morning with cloudy skies and light winds.

Was supposed to play co-ed softball games today but it has rained the last 3-4 days (not heavy but enough) and surprise not expected (much to the delight of the monster).

I got up at 0630 (last one up this morning). Normally, almost always, I am the first up, but both wife and daughter up and moving. Armageddon?

The monster walk begins after coffee. She will love it.

Cats lose in 12 to Ole Miss. Pretty good game. Cats could have/should have won it in 9.

News flash Reds won last night 11-7!

You grinders relax and enjoy your Sunday and to all God Bless.

Morning D-Leaguers!

33° this morning with light winds. Today's high to be in the mid 60's. This week is supposed to be dry and warming up. Going to go fishing later in the week.

Normal workout and monster walk this morning followed by house cleaning.

Watched the Reds lose another one yesterday. Only scoring 2 runs. Need more offense. Put me in coach, I'm ready to play, today.

Woke up, rolled the dice and Monday came up. Sorry grinders. Be safe out there especially you folks taking public transportation.

God Bless.

Good morning D, wow we are actually going to get to see the sunrise this morning, I believe it's the first since Wednesday morning. I'm almost 74 and I don't remember this much rain ever. I empted my rain gauge first time on Friday, it was rain from Wednesday and Thursday, total was 71/4", empted it again Friday, total was 53/4", Saturday's total was 51/2" and Sunday's total was 4", if I'm adding right that's a total of 221/2 inches of rain! Tonight we have a freeze warning, go figure, weather in Kentucky!

Good morning folks. Cold and rainy in the east. I’m just back from grinding out a run in the near-freezing drizzle. My knee has been aching but it felt better today so I pushed it a bit.

Back to work but at least I’m home today. Game tonight should be interesting. I like watching Houston because they just play so tough and fearless. You can tell if you’ve played much basketball that being on the court against them would start to challenge your will and concentration. That happened to Duke the last ten minutes. It wasn’t just coaching or choking because of the size of the moment. Houston had disrupted them mentally and physically.

But —Floridas guards strike me as much tougher than Duke’s. Should be a really interesting test.

Back to work. Have a good one.

The national weather service said we broke an all time record for this area with 15.55, though I think it was more here at the shop.

Md, crested at 60.5' this a.m.
Thanks VH. I talked with my father and sister late last night. THe areas around the town are flooded, but not an issue for anyone in my immediate family -- except for some cousins in Falmouth. They had to evacuate, apparently.

I expect to be in the Grove on Friday so I'll get to look around. We always found filthy fun in the backwaters when I was a kid. Not going to be doing any wading in the flood, but I'll be interested in checking things out.

Outlying areas near us (i.e. Hill Country) actually received frost early this morning.

One year, back around 2002 or 2003, Shawnee, TN and Middlesboro, KY received frost around Memorial Day. Ha ha, it was crazy. I was visiting from TX.
Back in 73, maybe 74, they flew us to Fort Hood for a 3 day weekend in March, told us temps were going to be in the 70-80 range so pack accordingly, I threw in my coat liner and thermals just in case, nearly froze our a$$! There were a few of us that did pack warm gear, guess who got to work outside!!!!

Good morning folks.

Well, I was rooting for Houston but will be happy for my Gator daughter. Was well asleep before it played out. I’ll have to watch the last ten minutes tonight.

Second year since 2022 the Cats beat the Nationals Champion —destroyed Kansas at Phog Allen that year, along with runner-up UNC-Cheats on a neutral court only to choke in the tourney.

I like signing the kid from Bama. Cats needed to get more physical and athletic.

Cold cold cold in the east. 32f right now. I wasn’t expecting this.

Getting off the subway. Have a great day.

Good morning everyone.

Fun game to watch last night. I was hoping for a Houston win but didn't really care. Both were very good teams and fun to watch, I just didn't want an SEC team to have 3 titles. Congrats Gators.

One or two more guys and UK may look great for next season. I would like to see the big Alvaro (sp??) guy sign, but I'll be happy with whoever we're rolling with.

Busy time for a retired feller. I hope everyone enjoys their day.

Don't take this wrong. I think Trump is doing what he needs to do, but to let you know how it effects pricing: I have started buying raw goods from china through a third party because my domestic suppliers are gone. From the last buy to my current buy, a roll of material (48 inches tall and 125 yards long) has gone up anywhere from 65 cents a yard on my most common item to $1.75 on ordinary items . On an average size lamp shade, that will be 35 cents to 90 cents on the wholesale price of a lamp shade. Maybe a few cents more as there are cheaper parts that also will get a tariff.

Condon wasn't the best player, but his was the physicality that kept Houston from totally dominating inside. Instead, Houston was just better inside.

Not the best played game with all the banging. Congrats to FL.
The three refs all call in the SEC region.

Walter Clayton Jr. did not play well and Florida still won.

Since WWII Europe and Asia has cheated and done everything against the US. I lived in when I worked for the railroad. Canada simply blocked importing some stuff from the US.

For a while CSX, my company, owned SeaLand and we could move products from Europe to the US but not from the US to Europe. We sold the company because of the damned cheats in the EU. Screw them all.

Back in the 1980's NAFTA came into effect. It was supposed to be the North American Free Trade Agreement. It was none of the sort. I watched companies move by the dozens to Canada and Mexico. Screw them all.

They are cheats and feel that the US's job is to take care of their worthless asses.

I hate to be such a small person, but I really enjoyed Duke's loss. Of all teams in college ball I hate Duke the most.
As a rule if I don't like someone or something........I just ignore it.....i don't have enough runway left to waste emotion of any type on junk........except Duke or a Duke loss........especially the way they lost that game Saturday......I only harbor this sentiment for them because of the fact the way they worship that damn Laetner punk......when he should have been tossed from the damn game...............I break my rule for them!!
