D-League

Every time I turned the game on, the Illini started coming back. I had to turn the game off and turn off the score I was watching, then the Cats pulled back up....Darn it I wanted to watch the Cats and could not.... "Ain't" stuperstitious either!!! Go CATS!!!

Good morning folks.

Great win by the Cats yesterday. What a lift to see them handle a tough Big 10 team without much drama. The Sweet 16 is a remarkable achievement for a team that had zero returning players and was assembled well after the portal had opened and guys were locked up. Imagine: No two of Kentucky’s players had taken the floor together for a college game in November and now they are in the Sweet 16…

Heading out for a run, then back to work. Have a great day.

Good morning everyone

Great win last night. Bench play came up big again. We don't need a ton from them as long as the starters are healthy (and stay out of foul trouble). Our region is all chalk and the entire bracket is not far from it. We will be the underdogs from here on out....that's a good thing.

Enjoy the Big Blue energy today.

Morning D-Leaguers!

38° wind low winds and a high in the mid 70's expected.

Was testing 4 black belts and 3 under belts yesterday afternoon so, I missed the game but watched the replay when I got home at 9pm. Did have my cell phone on the table in front of me and my UK tumbler with a drink. I kept up with the score as we were testing the students. At one point during a break in testing, UK had just won so I had the whole class on the count of three yell Whooo! Hooo! With confused looks on their faces I told them UK had just won and them and the crowd watching laughed. I had told them earlier that they were lucky I was there because UK was playing.

Getting ready for my workout and monster walk so, you folks traveling to work be safe and God Bless.

It has been like that for me the last two games. I can only watch the score on the ticker. Every time I would peek at the game the other team seems to make a run. I told the Director that I must be bad ju-ju for the CATS......

Good morning folks.

Cloudy and cool in the east. It looks like sun ahead.

A grind of a work day ahead. But my mood is good. Thinking about the Cats and the chance to get what would probably be the program’s best and most significant win in a decade.

Getting on the train. Have a great day folks.
Exactly right. When the Cats play Friday it'll be the 10th anniversary (March 28, 2015) of the victory over Notre Dame that sent them to their last Final 4.

That's exactly the one I was thinking of 82...No win since then would have been as significant. I'd guess the closest argument would be beating UCLA in the Sweet 16 in 2017, but beating Tennessee as an underdog would be bigger than beating UCLA as a favorite in the same round...

Been in DC one time (to change planes). Never got out of the airport.
When my daughter's husband was stationed abroad in the Air Force, she would take a hop on a MAC flight into Norfolk, Virginia. I would drive up and pick them up and then take her back to Baltimore for the flight home. One trip the Director decided she wants to drive over to DC. It wasn't that far, it was a little past midnight so........We drove around a little while, got gas as a station that had 2" glass on the front. I couldn't find my way out. Finally we got caught up in a DUI check point and got directions on how to get out.......we have never been back.

I had an uncle who got caught up in Chicago traffic. A cop stopped him basically because he was in everyone's way. He told the cop, "If you will get me out of here, I promise to never come back." The cop turned on his lights and guided him to safety. He never went back.
