Hi all,

I am working around my house outside drunk as a monkey. I was cleaning the garage and playing with the BB and working with my Darling. They went inside and I started drinking yuenglings. One, two, three, four, and five. I am still working but as loose as goose grease. You all have a good day. Think I will drink one more.

😁

I haven't had beer in many years, but I truly love beer. I am scared to drink. Coming home from the war, I couldn't sleep at night. When it got dark and quiet and the lights were out, I could see and hear things I didn't want to remember. I had to get drunk enough to pass out if I wanted to sleep.

Good morning folks. Heading back home from a morning run.

It is warming up here —a beautiful spring day.

Tried to watch the hoops last night but couldn’t get into it. The Reds won so that was good. We also watched an interesting enough documentary about the guy who buried that million dollar treasure out west, wrote a poem for a map and touched off a frenzy. I recommend it as a good adventure story.

Heading to church. Have a great Sunday.

Yeah, I went through those phases a couple times in life. Difficult at times.

Wildcats won in baseball as well but it took 4 hours.

Morning D-Leaguers!

44° this morning with moderate winds. Cold walk with the monster as the winds chilled me.

Well, on to Baseball as the Basketball season is over as far as I am concerned. I will probably not keep up with recruiting and just wait until someone brings it here or wait until fall to see.

Have Co-ed softball practice today as the season starts next Sunday.

Fishing and house/yard work will be the order of my days while waiting for fall to start the next BB season as I hope we will be better. Don't really know what football will bring with the Cats or the Bengals so...

You folks enjoy your Sunday and God Bless.

Hello all,

Man I remember why I do not drink. Yesterday reminded me. Yeah, I had six Yuengling's, three or so Golden Pilsners, a Black and Tan, and I think a couple Lagers. I completely remember why I normally stop at one and at the most two. I was working outside a lot yesterday but sure too stupid to stop when I knew I should have stopped. Just did not feel well all evening. Took a shower and went to sleep around 11. Had fun playing with the BB as I hide my drinking from him and others. I never want to be a bad influence to anyone who may not be able to handle what I handle. Yesterday was an anomaly.

Anyway, did make it to church this morning. Home now and drinking my second cup of coffee. have to see what My Darling wants done today. (Finish her plant pots I started yesterday or clean some carpets.)

Oh, for any not aware I saw the Delayed Retirement Program for DOD was opened again. Have to get My Darling to buy-into it but I am thinking this time around I am going to do it. I have plenty to do even if I retire. Just too many things now to keep up with and My Darling and I have planned properly. We shall see as I will not if My Darling is not onboard with it. It looks like I can delay retirement starting December 31st, 2025 if I do this now and still draw a full pay check until then. I will be 64 in July so I will be nearing 65. I had 22 years in This past January 2nd counting buying back my military time so.... Just typing out loud...

Have a great day in any event. Some nice weather around this part of the country...

I was waiting for this post (1st paragraph). lol I have been there and finally made a decision to not even start with one. It's worked for nearly 25 years now.

I retired somewhat early and love it. I fretted over money until the day I retired and now I'm sure happy that I left. Have enough money, have some hobbies, get along with your wife and I believe you are set.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

Zeigler ends his career the same as every Tennessee Volunteer that came before him...without a final four. Wish we had been the ones to shut him up, but glad to see him and his pigtails sent home.

Vols couldn't even keep it close despite shooting 20 free throws, while Houston only shot 4. With 4 minutes to go in the game, Tenn had only been called for 5 fouls.

Morning D-Leaguers!

44° this morning with light winds. Today's high to be in the mid 60's. Rain forecasted for 3 days later this week. Looks like spring is officially here.

Reds go down but the Bat Cats win so, not a total wash of a day yesterday.

Lot of painful areas this morning after yesterday's softball practice. Throwing arm went out after first warmup throw (pain in rotator cuff area), but I could still throw underhanded and continued to pitch batting practice. Could still swing the bat too, but not as strong as normal. Will assess today when working out.

Not to sound redundant in line with Austin but, Monday, Monday, La la la la la la.

You folks be careful out there and God Bless.

Good morning folks.

Busy day today. A beautiful one in the east. Did a nice run this morning and it was good to feel myself sweat after a long winter of runs.

The chalkiest Final Four probably in history, even though it has been done once before. This year even most of the 2s advanced. In the two brackets I bothered to fill out I had Houston and Florida, but I imagine lots of others did too.

Back to work. Have a great day.

20 plus years ago, I was having trouble with my throwing arm. Picked up a rock to throw. Arm felt like a rag tied to my shoulder and the rock landed a couple of feet in front of me. Couldn't lift it above my shoulder after the throw. Wound up having the rotator cuff surgery.

I guess Jay Bilas is feeling better today after taking heat for picking all 4 #1 seeds to reach the Final 4. Gutsy (or lack of guts) but it paid off. I have no doubt that there are multiple brackets across the country with the same results. I've never seen a tournament that was so predictable. Very few surprising upsets this year. Maybe #10 Arkansas beating #2 St. John's in the 2nd round but even that wasn't a shocker.

List of best NL right fielders ever. Stan Musial is #3. In votes taken among the players themselves at the time, Stan was voted as the best player in MLB in both the 1940's and 1950's. To be fair, Stan was well liked and he didn't spend as much time in the military as Ted Williams. Still these votes were by the players who should know best, not the media/press.

I retired when I was 53 years and 6 months old. I worried about money; however, for the last 25 years I have actually adding to my savings.

I had to put my hammer and saw away when I was 46yrs old.......after an auto wreck and poor medical care after the accident....... I could no longer over come the chronic arthritis...........like I had until then............I was diagnosed with chronic arthritis when I was in my early 30's.........
I see some sad faces..........I have been blessed in other ways........it might sound crazy but other than being genetically programed for arthritis and high cholesterol I am very healthy..............Covid has had three shots at me and I am still going........

You Reds fans should be grateful Oli Marmol isn't your manager. Just one example. Cards behind by one, bottom of tenth, 2 out, 2 runners on. RH Winn at bat (I like him, but he is 0-16 this year), RH pitching, LH Gorman who is hot on the bench. Winn makes last out. After game, reporter asks if Oli thought about letting Gorman PH for Winn. Oli says he thought about it, but he wanted to keep Winn in the game at SS. Gee Oli, the game is over and you have no need for a SS if you don't score a run.

Bad weather heading in for most of Kentucky beginning tomorrow and lasting into Sunday. System will stall out over the region bringing very heavy rainfall, flooding, hail, strong winds and possible tornadoes. Total rainfall amount up to 11 inches here but heavier in other parts of the state. Hopefully it won't be as bad as they're predicting but take caution my friends.
