Would like to get some thoughts-predictions on who will win the 2015 College World Series. There are several teams that could pull it off, personally I like Vandy to repeat as NC. My pick is based on the Dores' starting pitching, combined with the great defense, and timely hitting they possess.
Also, Tim Corbin is one of, if not the best, college coach in the game. He comes up with the right moves at the most opportune time. They play with confidence and swagger, and I think they will repeat.

I like Vandy as well. LSU can hit, but that park might be a bit too big for them to use their power, especially against a great Vandy pitching squad. Florida is pretty hot right now though. I think the top half of the bracket is a little bit easier than the bottom, but all the teams are going to be tough.

Vandy is best team I watched this season. Go Dores!

I think Vandy is the favorite and the sexy choice. However, I'm going to go with Florida. They are playing as well as anyone right now.

Virginia over Arky today 5-3, Florida explodes in the 4th inning on Miami, puts up an 11 spot currently leads 12-3.

Been watching a little of the Fla.-Miami game tonite. UF currently leads 8-0, after winning their 1st CWS game over the Canes by a 15-3 count. That means they have outscored UM 23-3 over the 2 games. We took 2 of 3 at Florida this season, and have won 3 straight series over the Gators, Miami, if they lose this game, will have lost 22 of the last 26 to UF.
I guess my point is we can win over the Big Boys, and are not really as far off as some might think to maybe getting to the post season, and getting a deeper run when we get there.

As long as Henderson is the mgr, IMHO, UK baseball is doomed. I've seen 7 yrs of this nonsense and it'll never get better as long as he's running the ship.

I definitely think we have the talent to beat any team in the nation on any given day. The problem is that we don't have a lot of consistency, when games do not go right we don't have the bullpen depth or quality to help save our starting pitchers, our manager's in game decisions are often poor or suspect, and our team has no real identity from year to year. Yes, we could possibly have a great or outstanding year and make a regional or squeak to a super regional, but we're not coming out and being a consistently competitive baseball team that might make a run in the post season. Instead, we're below average most years with an occasional year where we make the NCAA tournament. That doesn't cut it for me, and I think if we were ever going to advance to a Super under Henderson it would have been either 2012 or 2014. We didn't do it either time and it makes me thing he won't have the ability to ever make it there.

There's no doubt that the talent has been there. The number one problem with this team is no one, and I mean no one, knows their role on this team. This team in the seven years that Henderson has been at UK has had no identity, nothing that set them apart or defined roles as pitchers. As a pitching coach, he has no clue on how to use a bullpen, when to make changes on the mound and how to adjust to the nuances of the game. He can't develop a bench and have options incase of injuries or when someone is struggling. What is absolutely mind boggling it for the entire season, the top 4 hitters in the lineup, Barrett, White, Tom and Shelby collectively hit .340. The bottom 5 in the lineup, which was never set by the way, hit collectively around .241. Talk about a sad sad stat.
