Cutter Boley

Bama can choose about anybody. He clearly can play but my gut says ultimately they get someone up their list a little more. They now get qb’s that can move around there with their legs. I just don’t see them getting to him. And I don’t say that as a knock on him at all. Having a bama offer as a sophomore means you’re on their list. Which is impressive. But still some ways to go there.

His recruitment will be a great litmus test as to just how far Stoops has brought the program.

I think ultimately the color he turns to is Blue!!!

I’m hearing Clemson is leading.

Let the Big Dog work for 18 months, and we’ll see!

I don't know the kid or anything about him, but Clemson is almost cult like. They pull out all stops to make sure the kid has a great time and while still on campus and on visit high put pressure on the kid and family to commit right then. If he does it's no more visits of any kind. Kid has to stay focused because Dabo is pretty convincing. Now Preacher Dabo has no proble with another teams commits visiting little old Clemson.

Dabo is a horrible guy. I really cant imagine why anyone would want to play for a guy that preaches for you to basically be his slave while youre on campus.

Cutter and family have to decide if St Nick is going to be at Bama for his duration AND if Dabo isn’t the one to replace him…
Or play for Stoops!!!

Regardless - if he committed today it would be meaningless to me… he’s what a Sophomore? Pointless to debate at this point

I agree, maybe because I don't care for him but I think he is as fake as it gets. He said he would quit when college players got paid, still there. Had multiple plays test positive for PEDs and blamed on their lotion. He is breaking in 2 new coordinators this fall, we get to see if he can coach.

If Saban is still at Bama when this kid plays - he still has to wonder if Saban will be there the next, or the next, or the next?? Let’s go Cats.

And who is OC at UK. By that time have to think scang either succeeded and moved to the NFL or has not succeeded and is pretty blah.

Maybe we struck gold and he will be great and stick around, but I don't see it. Stoops already said in some interviews he asks these NFL guys for two years but understood Liam had to go.

Who’s your team? I smell a Clemson clinger here.

Dabo gets on my nerves more than any coach in college today. He just seems so fake and a big hypocrite.
I don’t think he’s a hypocrite.

He has his beliefs and is not swayed by the new ways (YET!!!).

You’d think if he was a hypocrite, some transfers out of program might have said something?

I think he is the logical replacement for St Nick at Bama buddy you never know.

Does he stay home or go to Bama?
Probably neither. Clemson and OSU are supposedly his favorite schools but they haven't offered. Bama most likely wouldn't accept his commit till they've evaluated several QBs and make a decision. He may not even be a take for them which he won't know for almost 2 years.

Bama has already offered.

That doesn't mean anything. They offer alot of kids but they evaluate them a lot more before it's committable. Many of guys they offer never get a written offer

You are right, Bama throws lots of offers out, but kid can't commit until he camps there.

Someone posted in another thread about Boley that he talks openly about his plan to transfer to a prep school for his 2024 season. If he does it totally changes the recruitment vs him being in Lexington for three years

Not disagreeing but he got the offer at a camp down there in-person from Saban. Maybe it’s still not commitable but Saban saw him camp in person and offered him there.

I also saw an article where he talks about building a relationship with Scangarello. Boley’s freshman year would be Scan’s fourth year here. Really hope they have someone else relationship building with him because I would take the under on four years for Scan’s tenure.

The original question was UK or Bama. It's likely it's neither. There no way to know if/when that offer is commitable. Until they further evaluate more guys I don't believe they would accept any QB. As far as UK those that know him say he wasn't a UK fan and his sister went away to a Oregon and ND. Staying home to play for the local school is prob not a big draw.

Then add in they see he is waiting for OSU and Clemson to offer. If he gets the right offer probably hard to keep him here. UK def has a chance but it will be an uphill battle.

I believe he even said it in an interview with ksr or somebody after he transferred to lca

Yeah the trade off for getting these nfl guys is that they are generally going to be looking to build their coordinator resume to get back to the league. If they come and do well, which we hope, they will move on fairly quickly. Not necessarily one year like Coen.

Makes sense to me. I was just saying Bama has seen him camp and that’s when they offered. I’d much rather him go out of conference than there.

Yep don’t think anyones expecting four years from him. I imagine recruits know this too so they need to be hearing from Marrow/Stoops. He probably is I’m just saying

Well I hate he is looking to transfer to a prep school. I am old school and hate to see a hometown lose its best players to a football factory. But I am in the minority and probably just need to sit down and shut up about it.
Well he’s already transferred from a rural school to a private school a couple hours away so that barrier has already been crossed for him.

I’ve been following this young man’s recruitment a little bit, but not that closely….. Is he already looking to transfer out from LCA??

He has said in interviews right as he transferred to lca that he plans to transfer out to a prep school or 'athletic' type school his last year. Privately he is supposedly open to doing that his junior year as well.

Way too early to guess. Boley's move to LCA gives Vince Marrow the advantage of local access to Boley and vice versa. But Boley will be a true national recruit, probably more so than any football player from the state since Damien Harris and Jedrick Wills. I think Kentucky has a good chance as long as they can hang onto Coach Scan. But if it continues to be a case of musical chairs with the OC, it could get a lot tougher to keep Boley at home. And if he does not stay at LCA, then it could get tougher to sign him.

I dunno what his plans are. It just bothers me when a kid/parents decide someone is too good to play with kids he grew up with. I know that isn't popular, but just how I feel. Scholarships are coming if you are good enough.

Sounds to me like he's trying to get IMG to call.
