Yeah maybe, that doesn't mean it's not the right thing to do. Cutter gives UK the best chance to win, I don't think there's much doubt about that. Besides, UK needs to start looking toward the future and BVG is not it.... damage control to try to salvage his job. This announcement very un-Stoops like.
Stoops should have tried to find a different starting QB some time ago. Only when he starts really feeling the heat from the fans does he make a change. Of course, Boley deserves the start based on his performance ... he's much better in the pocket and he's also much more accurate with his passes. Playing Boley is the right thing to do but I don't give Stoops credit other than reacting to fan pressure calling for his job. He needs to move on otherwise the program will suffer b/c I feel like he's already lost the fans, if not the locker-room.Yeah maybe, that doesn't mean it's not the right thing to do. Would you rather him not start Boley? Seems like you're complaining just to complain.... damage control to try to salvage his job. This announcement very un-Stoops like.
There's no question in my mind that BV has some type of injury, probably from the assault and battery he endured at TN. But it's obviously time to move on, just hope Boley's up to the task. If Boley were to lead UK to an upset win as a true freshman it would cement his legacy at a very young age. This was an obvious move. Cutter has looked much better and is just a true freshman. This will be just his 4th game appearance so he keeps his redshirt, so it is a no brainer to start him now to get a jump on next season.
Looking forward to the Boley Era at UK!!!!!!
Oh yeah, that's completely fair. Stoops is stubborn to a fault. I'm ready for him to hit the road too.Stoops should have tried to find a different starting QB some time ago. You got it, bitch if he doesn't start...bitch if he starts. Stoops hate runs deep in some.Would you rather him not start Boley? Seems like you're complaining just to complain.

It's a pathetic reactionary attempt at this point. Staff needs to be more proactive. If starting him v Louisville was not the choice I would have completely lost confidence in this coaching staff.
Is Wimsatt hurt as well? I know Boley is better and all, and glad he's starting, but I haven't even seen Wimsatt on any Wildcat or designed runs that they used him for a lot before.I hope we win, but I doubt he makes that big of a difference other than I'm pretty sure that Brock has a bum shoulder, so he'd be better in that regard. But our OL isn't good at all and our play calling is maybe worse.
Boley starts…”Only reason he’s making the change is because he’s feeling the pressure and trying to save his job.”You got it, bitch if he doesn't start...bitch if he starts. Stoops hate runs deep in some.
Don't give them any ideas lol. Hopefully the Wimsatt crap is over unless all of our QBs get hurt during the UL game.Is Wimsatt hurt as well? I know Boley is better and all, and glad he's starting, but I haven't even seen Wimsatt on any Wildcat or designed runs that they used him for a lot before.
One of the few good decisions this season. He's worse than Brock. Is Wimsatt hurt as well? I know Boley is better and all, and glad he's starting, but I haven't even seen Wimsatt on any Wildcat or designed runs that they used him for a lot before.
I really think that NIL money is at work here. The boosters that got the $$$ for Brock, don't want their investment (or his commercials) sitting on the bench. Where is their payback ? And this is just one of many issues that I have with NIL. Also, if Brock doesn't work out here, and it sure looks like he wont, how likely are those boosters going to be to open up their wallet for another NIL prospect?Stoops should have tried to find a different starting QB some time ago. I didn't suggest he shouldn't start Boley. I'm happy that he says he intends to do so. What I'm not happy about is that he had to totally and completely screw up the season with stupid decisions that should have been obvious to him if he had ANY coaching chops, which he doesn't. How could he NOT start Boley at this point? I'm actually surprised he announced it this early. My point is that he feels pressure to start him now only b/c he's feeling pressure.Would you rather him not start Boley? Seems like you're complaining just to complain.
I have to agree with you. Just because a so-called 5-star is sitting the bench at Georgia shouldn't mean a change of address will make enough of a difference to throw big money at a kid that hasn't proven his worth. Sadly, bad look for Stoops ... once again.I really think that NIL money is at work here. Boley's the better choice at this time, just hope he's up to it.I do think he was injured in that game. Was playing good/very good at times leading up to that. Took some really unusual hits and was not good seeing someone be unable to balance leaving the field. Hasnt been the same since.
Whatever the reason, boley was clearly better last two weeks. As in, it isnt even close.
You mean you haven’t already? If starting him v Louisville was not the choice I would have completely lost confidence in this coaching staff.

Re BV/injury...tip off to me was the 2 deep passes he attempted vs Murray. A healthy college QB does not underthrow those passes by 20 yards, just doesn't do it. Something bad in his shoulder I fear. Really pisses me off TN mauls BV with illegal shots while SEC stripes watch with their whistles stuck up their collective asses.
Boley deserves it. He gives us the best chance to win.... damage control to try to salvage his job. This announcement very un-Stoops like.
Too late. I already have.If starting him v Louisville was not the choice I would have completely lost confidence in this coaching staff.
Brock was actually a Liam Coen pick, but the point is valid about NIL. I’m assuming Brock and Chip were two of the biggest NIL guys in the squad. One wasn’t any good and the other was hurt all year.I have to agree with you. I agree with this. It’s the right thing at this point but also they’ve become pros at changing the narrative to give some hope going into the off season to try to get tick purchases and keep some of the personnel on that side. They can’t blame the OC anymore so Boley will play and they’ll say ‘there’s hope for the future’ even if he doesn’t play well this week.Stoops should have tried to find a different starting QB some time ago. Tennessee NIL money found a new use...Boley's the better choice at this time, just hope he's up to it.

Boley to start is MB, CMS and company trying to get fans back on board and excited for next year.
Season tickets go on sale right now, how many are jumping to buy 4??
If CMS started BVG Saturday over Boley, it would be a much worse offseason with the fans for everyone, including MB.Idk how anyone can be excited next season if Stoops is the coach. 6 and 6 campaign at best.
All the harder games at home and swing games on the road.
