Not a good look to have 2 guys (UK guys) battling like this. The difference in the 2. One is from Louisville and one was here for 1 year. KENTUCKY did not mean anything to Big CUZ. Not his fault. I do not dislike either guy. But the difference is simple. Rondo knows about the fanbase. CUZ knows what Cal does for the players. Most players deal with loss and compartmentalize the loss. Then they lock the cabinet on the bad and remember the good. CUZ came to UK, was good and went on to the NBA. KENTUCKY is not part of the equation (meaning the state or Fans).

That was the standard…it’s why Billy G was fired after only 2 years. It’s why Tubby was pushed out 2-3 years after an E8 but it had been a decade since a title….and never missed a tournament.

“You tellin me it was chip or bust under BCG?” Yes…that’s why he was canned after 2 seasons. “All clubs go through down turns”….yes and weve historically been quick to move on and be proactive at getting back to where we belong

Billy Clyde was not going to make it even if he won because no way he had enough character to handle success but there was virtually no way he was ever going to win going on like he was either.

Pat has drafted or brought in a few cal players, I'd assume he thinks rather highly of him.
