Courts will eventually rule there can no longer be a limit on any college eligibility. I feel bad for the high school kids.
I can see it now... kid spends 4 years in Juco then is recruited as a 23 year old to play at Duke and dominate till he's 27.

So you now get two years of Juco eligibility plus another four years of NCAA eligibility plus a redshirt year if you wanna use it plus maybe even one of these waiver years that the NCAA now seems to grant so easily?

High school kids stand little to no chance of getting scholarships going forward. NIL, transfer portal, extra covid year, no more walk ons at the D1 level and expansion to 15 scholarships (was 13 with walk ons equaling up to 20 players sometimes). What a freaking mess this has created for them!!!
That’s done after this calendar sports year.
Senior nights are a thing of the past! Now it will retirement tours/ceremonies.
And rule that players don't even have to be academically eligible to play. Just waiting for the lawsuit.

This crap is getting ridiculous to be honest college sports isn’t college sports anymore!
Junior college just became the minor league for Division 1. Park a kid in JC with a nice NIL deal and watch him develop for 2 years.
It would be great if he transfers from Vandy now that he got a Vandy friendly judge to rule for him.
With all the recent “changes” involving NIL, the portal & transfer rules, revenue sharing and incessant lawsuits, I’m watching less and less Division 1 games and didn’t attend a single NCAA game during 2024. And I’m among those who won’t ever contribute to NIL.
This is who it is healing. My granddaughter who is a red shirt freshman at a D-1 school and they have 25 year Old 6-7th year players due to red shirt and covid. Coaches now will only recruit JUCO and transfers. Coaches want to play the old girls even if they aren’t better.
I don't really see the big deal. You can still be a college student for 8-10 years to get a doctorate degree. What's the difference in playing that long? You're still a student.
Just a little too European for me... not that there's anything wrong with that!
Hoping the courts wil rule that pros who didn’t complete college can still use that eligibility at the schools they attended
