Couple of thoughts on transfer portal and the SEC

First, after first week of season, one thing seems clear to me, nearly every decent team has ONE good quarterback due in large part to the transfer portal. Nowadays, it is highly unlikely that any team besides OSU, Bama and Georgia will be able to stockpile several good QBs, at any other school, the 2nd teamer just transfers ASAP, as a result, nearly every team has a decent or good starting QB at least before injuries start to hit. That at least has spread out the talented QB pool to a large extent.

Second, after watching USC, Florida and LSU get smoked in week one in non conference play, I am wondering if some of the rest of the country is beginning to catch up with the SEC. Or, is it just a matter that the SEC has become very top heavy, e.g., Bama and Georgia are light years ahead of everyone else?

Thoughts?
