Could this year's offense be even better than last?

T. Robinson. Vet, proven college wide receiver at P5 level. Unlike Wandale he will have help & won't need to be targeted 150 times. Crowdus, Key, Barion Brown, Lewis, Magwood.
Some seem to have forgotten about the talent freshmen like Magwood and Crowdus. We actually have an embarrassment of wealth at receiver.

I think it’s fair to say Upshaw, Cummings and Bates are proven commodities. All 3 have played a ton of snaps against high level comp. Then you got Tayvion Robinson, Baker and Harris that have a ton of snaps against high level comp.
I like Our Tight ends but baker didn’t play much or produce much at Alabama. Harris seemed to improve as the year went on but once again he has very little production. Doesn’t mean they won’t be good but we have a ton of questions at that position in my opinion

I think it'll be equal. I think we have another chance to go 10-2 or better. I expect Levis to shine in his 2nd year in this system and he just got a really good OC/QB coach and the offense is loaded with talent. I'm excited to see Upshaw back. Defense still needs to add a couple more pieces, but they've been great since Stoops arrived and I expect the same this upcoming year.

wasn’t Christian Lewis a 4* as well?
From what limited action we have seen from the younger guys they look much more like competent receivers in their actions and how their bodies move than what we have had. That being said, there is nothing to suggest we're 'going to be better or even as good' until we see it. 3/4 or more of the teams in the league have highly rated guys all over the roster. It doesn't necessarily translate to effectiveness to have them. Everybody else has some guys too. I am excited about the skill guys and especially the return of Upshaw now that we run something that utilizes TE some, but still need to see about OL. Levis has a big arm, is physical, and plays with swag. But what he isn't good at is screens (not much of a feel/touch passer), quick slants (throws behind), etc...So if the line doesn't pull its weight we'll have some challenges. And I don't mean it like we won't be good enough to win games, but just in reference to the chase to be in that 2 spot in the east.

Good points, but I 100% guarantee you the team isn't shooting for second place.

I absolutely agree with what you are saying. I was just thinking about Lewis (and other young WRs) that they were rated quite well coming out of high school...but you are right, potential does not equal production.

Hopefully, 2-3 of them bust out in the spring, and another 1 or 2 blow up in fall camp.

Potential but those young WRs haven't done anything vs SEC competition. Hopefully they'll produce. Coen did speak very favorably about Lewis last year.

And Magwood… he was able to get open, had a couple of drops, a biggie in the bowl game iirc. He came in with a rep as sure handed, like most of the offense last year, I think he was having to think too much instead of just playing. Totally understandable for a Freshman, coupled with everyone learning Coens offense.
