Does Stoops mandate that they be there instead of up in the booth? It seems most teams coordinators are in the booth but his never are.

is there really any different in cacky pants with windbreaker vs. winbreaker/pants combo?
I feel like it's more of a mix although I think the majority are in the booth. It gives them a birds eye view and if i was a coordinator its where i would choose to be.
IMO, huge difference in the windbreaker top/khaki pants and actual windbreaker pants!
Our defense is good, but what does it matter whether our offensive coordinator stinks from the sidelines or stinks from a booth?
I've never noticed...but it seems like a ton of coaches are on sideline.
I see Marrow, Scang, Yenser and Woodrow on sideline for offense.
I see White, Stoops brother on sideline for defense.
So is Settle the only offensive staff in booth? Collins, Bufano and Stewart in booth for defense?
Maybe it's harder for Stoops to get in their ear if they're in the booth ... loses too much control over the play calls?
UK donors who pay good money to Stoops for those seats? Who knows ... apparently not the coaches.

Varies from school to school I guess. Have noticed Bama's DC on sidelines, OC in booth. LSU's DC(House) in booth. Probably wherever they feel the most comfortable.
I don't see much difference in the pants Scang wears with a pullover vs. Coen wearing cacky's with a pullover. It's about the same look to me.
Regardless, I could care less about attire. I do think Scang to Coen is quite a step down and he looks like a square peg in round hole fit for college. The kids arent' playing fast and executing at all his scheme.
I think the playcaller should be in the booth. Watching on TV, I could see UTs blitzes coming And from where presnap. Doubt you can see it as clearly from the field level.
Windbreaker pants for another day I agree, the OC needs to be upstairs. We have to have a couple assistant birdies with him too with eyes in the sky. Sometimes a little separation is good for all parties. Easier to tell Levis to get his head outta his butt on the phone than say it face to face when Will could whoop his butt ya know.
Seems modern approach is coordinators and line coaches on sidelines with a trusted eye in the sky.

Stoops does not mandate . It’s up to the OC to decide where he wants to be. I heard Coen say he wanted to be able to look his quarterback in the eye when talking to him to ”see where he was at “ . (Mentally I guess)
