Luckily we have a running back who is elite and proven. He’s use tk making his own lanes and explosive plays playing behind a weak Vandy lineNot seeing a lot of holes being made against a MAC school
Stoops sounds pretty excited about Karnabaye. Anxious to see what he looks like when he gets more time.Luckily we have a running back who is elite and proven. He’s use tk making his own lanes and explosive plays playing behind a weak Vandy line
That shouldn't be a goal for an OL. You need your OL to win those battles so they can get out to the LBs.It really looks like the goal is for the Oline to create a standstill with the dline and its up to the back to find/select a gap.
AbsolutelyWe now run wide zone. That means the OL move laterally. The rb pushes the edge and chooses his hole, which includes, any cut back he sees.
We don't fire off the ball. We aren't creating holes. This isn't man/gap scheme. It isn't even inside zone.
It's so effective on offense because the OL movement literally looks the same no matter if run or play action pass. Being lateral, they're never down field on PA so the defense have no keys on run/pass.
