Kentucky football needs to find itself a new offensive coordinator & a new O-Line coach. I could see this coming. In our weak non conference schedule we averaged only 33.0 points a game, an SEC caliber offense would average 50/55 points against our non conference schedule. We could see that once our SEC portion of our schedule began that we would struggle to score. And that's exactly what's happened. Averaging only 18.4 points a game in conference play. This despite the fact that we've got a QB who's projected to be a top-5 pick, a running back who last year rushed for nearly 1,400 yards, the most talented trio of receivers we've ever had at one time along with pass catching tight ends. Other teams are scoring points like it's a basketball game. Our offense looks like the Bill Curry, Elliot Uzelac days.

Continue recruiting and graduating quality players as they have. O Line just happened to be a Tackle short and Injuries to 2 key DBs also hurt in a year with strong talent at other positions. Win a bowl, any bowl as that ectra month of practices is called out by coaches as critical. thus year and get a transfer qb for next year. Keep filling Kroger Field win or lose. Remember that UK is a good school in a nice city.

It needs it's HC to do a complete 180 on his offensive philosophy, hire an OC who has an attack model scheme, hire him and not put shackles on him.

Simplify the offense to where our offensive line can handle it. If you watch every replay there is usually receivers breaking free, but before he can throw the ball he is on the ground. When the play is open right away qb is looking in the wrong place. Announce team even said this on the first drive.

can’t have a 5 second offensive play when the line gives you 3 seconds most of the time.

the second half of miss state will had an extra half second on every throw and we killed it for this year’s standards. Unfortunately that’s the only half this year that I can recall he had time and even then he almost got taken out that game.

much like when we didn’t have a qb and Bowden had to run every play, we don’t have a pass block, must change the scheme on the fly or risk going 5-7.

Recruit oline

they HAVE TO ADDRESS SPECIAL TEAMS

figure out what Levis’s limitations are and quit putting him in places where things won’t work out because of them

come up with a. Game plan that addresses the other teams strengths.

stop the screen pass forever

That is a knee jerk reaction. bama, UGA, tOSU play pro style Offense and they are really good. What UK needs is to continue to grow the talent and they have done a tremendous job of doing that. They just need to continue. I think UT was an outlier game. I'm a Vol and I saw a 9-3 ceiling tops, so we are the unicorn, you won't play many of unicorns.

I know frustration, all fans do at some point. I told bama fans we were kicking their ass THIS YEAR! What I didn't tell you was that I have told them the same thing for 14 years straight years. 🙂

Keep your heads up. Stoops is a good coach. Good luck with the rest of your season and in your bowl game.

Agree about replacing the San Francisco coaches and finding some line men in the portal as well as a QB.

But Stoops must open things up and find an OC who comes in with an aggressive throw the short pass over the middle and move the chains mentality. Running when other teams have 8 men in the box is not a formula for winning.

Needs to realize the style of ball control and win with defense takes Ga. Bama,Ohio State talent. UK never going to have that

B1G ball won’t work in the “Little NFL” therefore Stoops has to change offensive philosophy, or continue to be outperformed on the field even when he has good offensive talent.
I really like Stoops, I like his gritty mentality. But I definitely don’t like his questionable clock and timeout management.
Scang is no Coen, but Coen ain’t walking through the door. I’m not sure what needs to happen. But it needs to happen.

Is the middle of the field a no fly zone for our staff?

Listen to what head coach says about this ...

Even those teams/coaches don't coach by that philosophy anymore. Check stats of sec leaders and scores against each other

Lots of potential answers to this. But I'm going with ...win the games we are supposed to win (especially at home). This year SC, last year Tenn. etc, etc.

We need a more open college offensive attack. That’s never going to happen.
The only way we get a modern offense is when stoops leaves. He’s said over and over and over again when asked about offense struggles that that’s the play calls and the grind the game down O that he wants.
He’s chicken shit to put his D out there that much so he can keep his D numbers low and fake the “one of the top defenses in the country “ narrative

Adapt and overcome. Why do we have speed at receiver, running back. Why do we ever recruit tight end. Our philosophy needs to be this: 1st Priority SPEED. 2nd Priority MORE SPEED 3rd Priority Muscle over Fat 4th Priority Talent over Potential 5th SPEED Stoops on Gameday yesterday “We are who we are” what you are is boring, bland, unimaginative and predictable. Christ I could draw up the defense to stop you. We not once tried to use our speed last night. Rodriguez up the middle til he got banged up. By then the game was over. A shitty two weeks of sitting around pounding your pud led to the humiliating debacle we saw last night. To quote JoJo Kemp: “Why not Kentucky!! Why not US”. Why not Mark Why don’t we adapt? Why Mark? Why Not Us?

I did not expect to beat Tennessee, but I expected to compete, or at least, score more than six points with a so-called “first round draft pick”. Kentucky football needs to ADAPT. And get talent on the lines.

According to Stoops we just need to clean some things up.
Well his cleaner must be broken because we’ve been letting having to get stuff cleaned up suffice for 10 years now after being embarrassed. We are usually not well prepared at all. And I’m not sure if we are really bad at keeping focus or what but after bye weeks are adventures every year. Even in the wins.

I get that. I expected for the Vols to win 44-24. The last thing I expected was shutting y'all down and any Vol claiming they did is a liar. Tennessee is not the same team that played Pitt. The Offense is improved some, but the Defense played it's best game. This is the same defense that couldn't stop y'all in Lexington last year. Want to know why? I have no idea other than they have just bought in, year older and they rotate more players. If they can do it, y'all can too.

Stoops got y'all Levis (1st rounder), despite this game he still is a 1st rounder. That was a coup for y'all. 10 years ago that would never have happened. I know you are suffering pain, but they are growing pains. Keep the faith reload and push forward. If the fans don't push the admin., they won't push either. Hang in there.

Work entirely from the gun - no play action - use tight ends and backs in passing game
Pass on first down more to set up run

Regroup. Call on their team leaders to step up and lead. Time to replace some guys on the offensive and defensive lines. They are simply not getting it done. The team looked intimidated and defeated last night very early. Off a bye week. It’s time for guys like Levis, CRod, to display the toughness and character that made them good players. If they are too worried about their professional careers to do that then it’s time to play some young guys and get them prepared for next year.
