It is both. Were it December 10th, he would have played with some caps, then put on one with UK on it, then waited 12 days to sign.
It is January 13th. He (likely) played with some caps, put on the UK cap, pulled out his Dad’s nicest ink pen, and signed the NLI on the table.

Pretty sure he must wait until Feb 1 to sign. Early signing for HS recruits only ran 12/21-12/23.
Not if he actually signed 12/21 but held off announcing until today. The "signing" today would be symbolic.
Coach Stoops just tweeted to welcome him. Doesn’t that mean he is signed?

With as much success as we've had with RB's during Stoops time here, it is about time we signed a bigtime RB prospect. I don't understand why 4/5 star stud RB's haven't been knocking down the door to get here to be honest.
I didn't want to say anything to spoil the news, because it was clear he had signed earlier than this week. Great job by the staff to keep it quiet until he could announce it with his teammates and family present!

If he’s got Peyton Manning speed combined with Jared Lorenzens discipline in the cafeteria, we could have a special special record setting long snapper. If he’s super fast we can try him at punter/RB hybrid position.
Unless he wants to shoot for the great Benny Snell jr’s record , then I could envision a spot for him @ RB. As long as his Dad has some road warriors spiked shoulder pads , and some Ace Freely face paint. Just my inebriated opinion.

A lot of these vids are dependent on the level of competition, and that is hard to judge from 5 minutes of film.
On the vids, he doesn’t look as fast as Boom did on his HS videos, but Boom played on a small (private?) school team in Georgia, IIRC, and this guy is in major HS ball.

Idk if he is as fast as Boom was but he sure does have good vision and great balance.
Rivals has him as a 5.9 4 star! Why they keep calling him a three star? He’s ranked #149 in the Rivals top 250! He moved our class to #29 and we have a better Star average than 10 teams ranked above us.
I hope he puts on about 15-18 pounds of muscle before the season starts! He’s already a strong runner!

I haven’t engaged in “herbology” since my 20’s, appearances notwithstanding.
My non-linear thoughts derive from poor sleeping habits, occasional bouts of colitis, combined with intermittent delusions of grandeur, all likely initiated by two frontal head injuries (football pays dividends for decades).

If that Oline can get it together….Leary with three headed Wr starters, Dingle and Kattus TE then these two RBs and Coen back in the fold. We might have the best offense in Stoops era!

A great barrister like the Honorable Hack certainly already knows , it has been in large part more or less within reason, decriminalized in the Dark & Bloody ground. So come on in the waters fine…….if you ever wanna feel 20 again.

This guy's tape looks really good...against high level GA competition. It wasn't like he had wide open paved roads to run through....he shows some serious wiggle and Wandale/Bowden like cutback ability. Ran through several tackles and showed he can catch the ball. Just what we needed.
Don't care about the debate on his height, or what star he has, or if he is as fast as Boom. What matters is Clemson wanted him, and Auburn, and Ohio. That says it all about who we got.
Yes. Only way Stoops or any staff member can mention him by name is after they have signed.
Some of the kids that announce at all star games do this. A couple years back the vols and us were recruiting the same guy who was going to announce at one. Vol insiders were all claiming he was theirs while his signed LOI was in Athens.
