I came across a story about coach Greg Kampe of Oakland U. in Detroit, using coaches to raise money for the American Cancer Society. The coaches selected include Cal, Izzo, Roy Williams and others to be bid on for the opportunity to have dinner with the coach and a golf game the next day at Oakland Hills Golf Course, where several US Opens and PGA events have been played. Don't know how to provide a link but you can google coaches beat cancer.org. It's for a two person team of high rollers as it is hoped they can raise $ 500,000 and there will be only ten teams. Many of you may already know of this, but I haven't seen anything on this site and thought it to be interesting.
