Beaten a lot of really good teams over the years, lost a few probably should have won, but how many UK coaches have gotten “lucky” as much as stoops? Lol

Rich Brooks, he would have been sec champs with the talent stoops has recruited
I love brooks, I think he would have been equal to stoops had mitch actually given him the resources he gave stoops.

If brooks had the team this year or maybe last year, or josh Allen’s year talent in 2005-2008 I think there is a chance he wins the east and/or sec
but with the talent bama and Georgia have had lately I don’t think he would have won the sec with any of those teams.
I think stoops is probably peak 9 win regular season guy with one win being a sneaky one and me loss being a game we shoulda won, but how crazy is it that fans are unhappy with that?
program has come a long way and who is to credit for that?
Can't be too upset with 9 win seasons, but we all want that elusive division championship taking us to atlanta, there was a chance this year but a choke fest ensued.... still sick about it
I agree completely, but still can appreciate that stoops is by far the best coach of my lifetime results wise.

The hospital obviously wants to pay UK players, just write them a check and put them on a billboard and Kentucky is 7-0 in the top 5.
Rodriguez’s conditioning cost us ole miss and with top 5-7 team I think will plays that South Carolina game

I question if Stoops can get KY to the next level but at the same time say that you need to be very careful what you wish for in thinking the next coach will. It’s not just Stoops but what does KY do without Vince on the recruiting trail? Can they find a DC the quality of Brad White? As infuriating as it is to watch UT become an elite team in just 2 years under a new coach they had go through several coaches to find Heupel. When Stoops is done landing 2 winning coaches in a row at a program like KY is a lot to ask/hope for.
UK is 1 game behind where most not insane ppl thought they would be. Most thought they would drop 1 of the 3. They dropped 2.
They were never a top 10 program even when they were ranked there.
I think the thing about where the program is at, is they're 1 injury away from mediocrity. Levi's goes down and you have to put a freshman in who's never going to be the starter here when Levis is gone.

It's not just the penalties. It's the late play calling(which was MUCH BETTER in the 2nd half), turnovers and missed assignments. However, MSU had 13 penalties and played MUCH worse.
I'm hoping what we saw in the 2nd half(minus the Pick 6) is what we see from this point forward. We gave 2 games away by basically giving the opponent too many freebies.
The 2 that we dropped were GIVEN AWAY.
That was the whole point of this thread. If Coach Stoops can fix all of the DUMB MISTAKES, we are 7-0. This team has more talent than MANY of his previous teams, especially on offense.
All I'm asking for is to play without making UNFORCED ERRORS. If we can do that, we can beat ANYBODY!!!
I just want him to clean up the STUPID ERRORS!!!

I LOVE Coach Stoops and want him to stay here for 20 more years. He just needs to clean things up so opponents have to ACTUALLY beat us. That's all I want and I'm sure it has drove him CRAZY also'

Did he grow up or did Stoops step in and tell him what he better do if he wants to keep his job? We finally scrapped the stupid outside zone blocking scheme and went back to what we do well and we looked totally different. It sucks that it took half a season and a horrible loss to wake up but better late than never.
We did good tonight on D but let's not forget Leach pounded us 31-17 last year. He's a good coach who will absolutely win his share of games vs Stoops.
