He downplayed his team's talent gap but what I saw was Oregon players who were clearly stronger and faster than Colorado players. Props to Prime for putting equal blame on the coaches but Saban doesn't win that game with his players yesterday. Oregon is lights out. The difference between #6 and #9 is not that much but the difference between #10 and #20 is huge.

So what did you want him to say? They just have better players than us? Give it a damn rest its his first yr there.
If you have a prob with Deion thats on you not Neon.
Well he does come off as cocky for no real reason. I don’t dislike him but some team was gonna make that happen

He owned it and said they didn’t prepare the team.

Still think auburn messed up not grabbing him. He’d have the talent this year to compete with the oregons with his Louie luggage 😂

Deon has entertained me for so many years. Sometimes I was pulling for him and sometimes against. He is great for the game but there was no stopping that beatdown he got on Saturday. Oregon is for real.
Now he faces a problem that we encountered for so many years. You need good depth to grab victories down the stretch in conference play. Colorado does not have that. Yet!

*here to say Colorado wasn't top 20. They riding the Prime hype and TCU was down. They got exposed for what they are. People was saying they were going to win 10-11 games were talking asanine. I made quite a few $ on them getting absolutely destroyed by Oregon.

This. After the TCU game, I said they (TCU) were ranked based off of making the championship game the previous year, not their current roster. Then, watching Col State expose their D, I knew it was over for CO and they were closer to who we thought they were vs what the media, Deon, and fanboys built them up to be.

I'll give Deon props. He rebuilt the roster, brought in some hype, and then maximized it when they pulled the upset. But he's the kind of guy who is always me, me, look at me and those guys write a lot of checks their a$$es can't cash.

We'll see soon if this dude is really the truth but I would venture to say chances are he's closer to Hal Mumme than Nick Saban when the dust settles.

I mean, I guess he is doing what he needs to do. That’s putting them on the radar. No such thing as bad publicity. Last year I wouldn’t have had a clue Colorado played Oregon. I wouldn’t have known they play USC this weekend.

Rest of the schedule looks rough for them. Not sure where they pick up wins. Stanford? Arizona and Arizona State?

Deion was Deion. He owns it win or lose. I am not a fan of his but he owns it. Gotta respect the way he loses. Do not repect the way he wins. Celebrate, no need for the talk.

I always loved prime since his early NFL days. I realized at Jackson state he was a much better coach than I thought.

That said, I'm glad they got drilled because the hype was beyond nausea levels. The faux everyone hates us message is ridiculous because most everyone wanted to see them play well.....until the hyp got insane.

They will almost surely get drilled again this week. Then they might have to face the other side of the msm favorite rags to riches story....which is the fall. Msm loves to cover the rise and then the fall. It won't get started just yet but there will be whispers if they're annihilated two weeks in a row when they actually face some competition

It’s Bow Nicks. It’s Oregon. It’s PAC-12. You shouldn’t get beaten that badly by a Bow Nicks-led PAC-12 program. Period.

I don't think Colorado is the 20th best team in the country. TCU is not what they were the last few year and Nebraska is garbage. CSU is also garbage. Top 40 sure but not top 20.

He is going to load up with the talent needed to make a serious run. Just takes time especially since it’s at the LOS where he lacks the most.
Yeah...his Oline and Dline are mostly transfers from Kent St/MAC (where the OC came from) and the Dline is transfers from Fresno, West Virginia, etc.....

They can easily upgrade the trenches with some recruits/transfers now that Deion is a hot commodity. I look for them to take another step up next year (assuming his son comes back at QB and he can keep his staff intact).

Deon knows it and said it himself, they are about 8 Dawgs away from being really good. He knows his oline and dline is severely undersized. Biggest difference between the two teams and it was a glaring difference. I was glad to see them get boat raced though and hope USC does it also. Media ran the story in the ground non stop. They should have waited until they faced somebody to do that. Lucky they got by Colorado State. 6-6 maybe 7-5. Lived the Oregon coach in the pre game speech, "Cinderella ends today."

Deions a star. People love him. If you all think he’s not gonna bet attention because they got drilled you’re going to be very disappointed. They’ll prolly win 6-8 game this year

Did you guys see the article that says giving us up $91M since he got there?

Sadly, Cliff Hagen never understood how getting the right coach (as in charismatic and competent) in would actually HELP the University (and neither did several of his successors)

You better beat him now
He is going to attract some talent but that doesn't necessarily equate to championships. The top half of the SEC is usually loaded with talent but there is only one champ each year. I don't see Deion being on par with the Saben's/Smart's of the coaching world.

Well, I’m sure they never started at a program as down as Colorado was . I just know the young players love him and he’s going to get a lot of good players

When Saben took over at Michigan State, they hadn't had a winning season for four years. That being said I agree that Colorado will greatly improve with talent. I just don't see them being a BCS championship contender anytime soon.

The amount of people who are upset over Sanders doing is job is astounding. That team was one of the worst teams in college football last year and he will have them in a bowl game this season, in year 1. I don't think people realize how hard that is to do. He and his staff have done a wonderful job so far, NO ONE thought they would be 3-1 after week 4 preseason. He is supposed to draw attention to his team and what they are doing, its wise to draw attention to himself because he brings star power and it helps take the pressure off the kids. We have a basketball coach that is notorious for it. Constantly having your name out there and your programs name is how you bring in recruits. I wish we would do it more and open ourselves up to homes we do not normally get into. He preaches discipline and doing it the right way, he teaches kids about how to handle the NIL and to prepare for life, not just football. What's wrong with that? Don't get upset because the media hyped them up to be better than they are, what is Deion supposed to say? "Actually we aren't that good, hopefully we will get to 6-6, please don't hype us up media?" He is taking advantage of all his available tools to build that program. Good on him I say. For the vast majority of you, all I hear is jealousy and GET OFF MY LAWN.

I don’t mind Deon just tired of the media going crazy. They talked about him building young men. What did he do for the players at Colorado when he told them most of y’all will not be here next year. Saw his son play in high school great player. He really helps the team.

Cal asked multiple players to leave once he took over for Billy Clyde and they did. Scholarships are year to year and aren’t guaranteed beyond that. Players leave all the time now via the portal which can leave the program in bad shape. Coaches are expected to win and to build a program or they won’t last long. That’s just part of it, college sports is a business and besides, being honest with kids so they can find a better fit and have a better chance at success is not a bad thing imo

I think a more accurate way to look at it is that at #20 is more nebulous than #10 and it's harder to tell who's really good and who isn't. Very seldom will a #20 beat a top 10.

I don’t remember Cal having himself posting on all the networks telling players they will be off the team next year. Why I said this is because the media posted everywhere about Dieon hugging a player and telling him to make his dad in prison proud. The player scored a TD but he didn’t build up the players he put off the team. Can’t have it both ways. No hate of Deion. Barstool sports bought his players at JSU. He may end up being great just tired of hearing all about him.

I disagree. If Louisville keeps winning the media will fall in love with them. They will ignore their awful schedule and will fly up the rankings. They can easily be beaten by a top 20 SEC team tho. I almost hope they come into our game with only a loss to ND and we pound them yet again. Just like when 3 star Lamar fumbled the game away as a top 10 team.
