I could never understand why Coach Cal won’t play zone or press with a team that can’t guard no one man-to-man?
I remember one time someone asked that question to him and his response was it doesn’t get guys ready too play in the NBA. Also we won’t get the top recruits to come here playing that style of play.
Have you ever watch a NBA game? No one plays defense. 😂. All the NBA GMs cares about if you can shoot it or not. They want prolific scores and not defenders. Their hasn’t been to many 1st Round Draft lottery picks known for their defensive skills.
Ask you Cal why not play the college game (play zone and press) and cover up your team defensive deficiencies? This is NOT the NBA.
